𝑴𝑫𝑪 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑨𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒚

Led by MDC Chairperson, Mayor Wendah Katrina Rivera-Dolor, the LGU Bauan conducted the Municipal Development Council (MDC) General Assembly yesterday, July 28, 2026, at Hon. Julio M. Cruzat Mini Coliseum, Poblacion IV.

“The Municipal Development Council plays a vital role in shaping the future of our town. Through the collaboration, transparency, and meaningful participation of each and everyone, we can assure that our plans and programs truly respond to the needs and aspiration of our people,” as stated by Mayor Wendah in her opening remarks. She further expressed, “Ang tunay na pag-unlad ay nakukuha sa pagkakaisa ng lahat.”

This year’s agenda included the approving of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Plan, presentation of LPMC’s Accomplishment Report — 2nd Quarter, the Supplemental Annual Investment Program No. 2, 2026, and the Annual Investment Plan (AIP) 2027, among other matters, which were approved by the members of the council.

Also presented were the projects inspected in the 1st and 2nd Quarter of CY 2026 of the Local Project Monitoring Committee (LPMC) which consisted primarily of various infrastructure projects in several barangays throughout the municipality. The LPMC acts as the official monitoring and evaluation unit of the Local Development Council (LDC) and ensures that government-funded programs and projects are implemented according to plan and that transparency and accountability are being upheld. Additionally, the Bauan LPMC was shortlisted in the 2026 Search for Outstanding Local Project Monitoring Committee, an annual recognition program in CALABARZON that awards the best-performing LPMCs for their excellence in overseeing and facilitating development projects.

The assembly was attended by SB Members - Vice Mayor Hon. Guenn Abante, Hon. Hon. Josephine Gimeno, Hon. Jesimiel Jake Garcia, Hon. Romel Basilan, Hon. Michael Endaya, Hon. Marjorie Jelly Adel, ABC President Hon. Tony Caguete and SK Federation President Hon. Jenisse Jade Aguilera, Barangay and SK Chairpersons, Municipal Department Heads, DepEd Bauan East and West District, various civil society organizations (CSOs) and non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The MPDO, headed by Engr. Melvin Arevalo, was the chief implementing office for the event.
