SYNOPSIS: Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan and Mindanao.

FORECAST:

Visayas and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to ITCZ. Occidental Mindoro will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms.

Eastern Visayas will experience light to moderate winds from the Northeast to Northwest with slight to moderate seas.

The rest of Visayas, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands will experience light to moderate winds from the Southwest to West with slight to moderate seas.

PAGTAYA:

Ang Visayas at Palawan kabilang ang Kalayaan Islands ay makakaranas ng maulap na kalangitan na may mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan, pagkulog at pagkidlat dahil sa Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). Ang Occidental Mindoro ay makakaranas ng bahagyang maulap hanggang sa maulap na kalangitan na may mga pulo-pulong pag-ulan pagkulog o pagkidlat dahil sa Localized Thunderstorms.
Ang Eastern Visayas ay makakaranas ng mahina hanggang sa katamtamang hangin mula Hilagang-Silangan hanggang Hilagang-Kanluran, na may banayad hanggang sa katamtamang pag-alon ng karagatan.
Ang nalalabing bahagi ng Visayas, Occidental Mindoro at Palawan kabilang ang Kalayaan Islands ay makakaranas ng mahina hanggang sa katamtamang hangin mula Timog-Kanluran hanggang Kanluran, na may banayad hanggang sa katamtamang pag-alon ng karagatan.

Ang Visayas ug Palawan lakip ang Kalayaan Islands makasinati og madag-omon nga kalangitan nga naay mga katag nga mga pag-ulan, pagpanugdog-kilat tungod sa Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ). Ang Occidental Mindoro makasinati og medyo madag-omon ngadto sa madag-omon nga kalangitan nga adunay tagsa-tagsa nga mga pag-ulan, pagpanugdog-kilat tungod sa Localized Thunderstorms.

CDRRMO conducts an earthquake drill orientation for students of the Bohol Deaf Academy. The orientation provides information on how hearing-impaired individuals on how to prepare and react to earthquakes. An interpreter assisted the Training Staff of the CDRRMO in the orientation held on October 6, 2027.

Visitors from Kupang City, Indonesia came to Tagbilaran City DRRMO Operations Center for a learning visit on October 6, 2026. They learned about the mandate and operations of the CDRRMO as well as its climate change actions in the city. Kupang City, like Tagbilaran City, is engaged in partnerships with the Catholic Relief Services under the CAPACities Project.

A gradual shift in the prevailing weather pattern has been observed over the past several days, such as the strengthening high pressure system over East Asia, the southward-migrating Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), and the notable weakening of winds and a decrease in rainfall associated with the Southwest Monsoon.
Forecasts indicate that these conditions are expected to persist in the coming days. In view of this, the Habagat season has officially ended.

The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) and City Mayor's Office Strategic Communications (StratCom) Division bring you the official three-day weather forecast from October 5 to October 7, 2026, monitored via our Automated Weather System (AWS) stations in Manga and Mansasa. Expect generally warm condition with temperatures ranging between 23°C and 32°C across Tagbilaran City and nearby barangays.

Light to moderate localized rain showers and cloud cover are expected throughout the three-day period, with a 63% to 90% chance of rainfall and daily accumulations reaching up to 14.5 mm. Residents are advised to keep umbrellas handy and remain alert to quick weather changes, especially during afternoon or evening downpours.
