𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘆 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄𝗹𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗼𝗳 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗴𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘇𝗮||

The Sangguniang Bayan of Bataraza formally received Police Major Sir Dhayrius L. Redondo, the newly installed Chief of Police of the Bataraza Municipal Police Station (MPS), who paid a courtesy call to the legislative body during its regular session.

The courtesy visit provided an opportunity to formally introduce the new Chief of Police and to reaffirm the strong partnership between the Philippine National Police and the Local Government Unit in the continued promotion of peace and order, public safety, and community security within the municipality.

The Sangguniang Bayan, led by Hon. Vice Mayor Kennedy A. Jaafar together with the Members of the Sangguniang Bayan, expressed its full support to PMAJ Redondo and reiterated its commitment to sustained coordination with the Bataraza MPS in advancing effective governance and responsive public service.

During the regular Flag Raising Ceremony held today, the Sangguniang Bayan of Bataraza, together with Municipal Mayor Hon. Al-Shariff M. Ibba, proudly conferred commendatory resolutions in recognition of individuals and organizations whose achievements and contributions have brought honor and progress to the municipality.

A Resolution of Commendation was awarded to Ms. Khalifa Alveya P. Ibba in recognition of her remarkable achievement as a Gold Medalist in the recently held Palarong Pambansa, bringing pride and honor to the municipality through her dedication, discipline, and excellence in sports.

Likewise, a Resolution of Commendation to the CBNC Team in recognition of its invaluable support and collaboration with the Local Government Unit of Bataraza in providing vital data, technical expertise, and assistance that have greatly supported the planning, establishment, and management of the Municipality’s Marine Protected Area.

The Local Government of Bataraza extends its heartfelt congratulations and appreciation to the awardees for their exemplary accomplishments and dedicated service. Such contributions continue to inspire the community and contribute meaningfully to the growth, development, and well-being of the Municipality of Bataraza.

The Sangguniang Bayan of Bataraza proudly joins the entire Municipality in celebrating another remarkable achievement as the Municipality of Bataraza is recognized as one of the four selected Local Government Units awarded the prestigious Balangay Seal of Excellence by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.

This recognition reflects the Municipality’s strong and effective implementation of anti-illegal drug programs and highlights the collective commitment of the local government, law enforcement agencies, barangays, and the people of Bataraza in promoting a safer, disciplined, and drug-free community.

Under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Al Shariff W. Ibba and Vice Mayor Hon. Kennedy A. Jaafar, together with the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, this achievement was made possible through unified and collaborative governance.

Special recognition is also given to the Committee on Peace and Order headed by Hon. Mcdonnell R. Saiyo, whose full support and active leadership played a vital role in strengthening peace and order initiatives across the municipality.

This milestone is likewise a product of the strong partnership between the executive and legislative branches, law enforcement agencies, barangays, and the people of Bataraza, all working hand in hand toward a common goal of sustaining a drug-free and peaceful municipality.

The Sangguniang Bayan Office successfully conducted a two-day public hearing in the barangays of Sarong and Sumbiling, Municipality of Bataraza, Palawan, in connection with the proposed establishment and management of Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in these coastal communities.

The initiative was spearheaded by the Committee Chairman on Environment, Hon. Mcdonnell R. Saiyo, whose guidance ensured that the activity was well-organized, inclusive, and attuned to the needs and concerns of the community.

The activity aimed to provide a platform for open dialogue and consultation among stakeholders, including local residents, fisherfolk, barangay officials, and representatives from concerned agencies. During the hearings, participants were given the opportunity to express their views, raise concerns, and offer recommendations regarding the protection, conservation, and sustainable use of marine resources within the identified areas.

The public hearing also served to inform the community about the importance of MPAs in preserving marine biodiversity, enhancing fish stocks, and ensuring long-term ecological balance that directly supports the livelihood of coastal households. Key provisions of the proposed measure, including boundaries, allowable activities, and enforcement mechanisms, were discussed in detail to ensure transparency and community participation.

The long-awaited moment has finally came to life as the Provincial Meet 2026 officially opened in the Municipality of Bataraza!

The venue was filled with energy, pride, and excitement as vibrant ceremony and colorful presentations set the tone for the days of competition ahead.

As this year’s proud host, the Municipality of Bataraza took center stage in warmly welcoming outstanding athletes from accross the province ; uniting communities in the true spirit of sportsmanship, excellence, and camaraderie.
