SUBJECT: ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT ON MUNICIPAL ORDINANCE
CAGAYANCILLO, PALAWAN – On February 28, 2026, personnel of the Cagayancillo Municipal Police Station, PSSg Roe C. Bonales and PCpl Perfecto B. Cuyos with four (4) members of the Bantay Dagat, Cagayancillo, Palawan successfully conducted anti-illegal fishing operation.
The operation resulted in the apprehension of one (1) motor banca equipped with two (2) 16HP "Super K**a" low-gear engines. Authorities confiscated nylon fishing lines with hooks, various fishing paraphernalia, and approximately 20 kilograms of assorted fish. The apprehended individuals were found in violation of Municipal Ordinance No. 110-S-2020, which prohibits transient fishermen from fishing or gathering aquatic products within the territorial waters of this municipality.
The Cagayancillo Municipal Police Station together with the LGU of Cagayancillo Palawan remains steadfast in its commitment to protecting our marine resources and ensuring the strict implementation of local and national maritime laws.

Today, the Local Government Unit of Cagayancillo, Palawan joyfully celebrates the Guso Festival 2026, a celebration rooted in faith, gratitude, and unity.

The genuine reasons why we celebrate our Guso Festival are clear and meaningful.

First, we celebrate to express our heartfelt gratitude to our Almighty God for the abundant harvest of seaweeds and for the continuous blessings He pours upon our coastal communities.

Second, we celebrate with rejoicing and dancing, following the example of God’s people in the Old Testament, who celebrated with joy in their hearts, unity among the people, and thanksgiving expressed not only in words, but also through action.

Third, we celebrate to publicly declare our dependence on God through prayer, humbly asking Him to bless our Guso plantations, protect our marine resources, and grant us abundant and sustainable harvests in the days to come 🙏😇🙏
