BJMP MIMAROPA HOLDS PANEL INTERVIEW FOR JO1 APPLICANTS
BATANGAS CITY โ The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Regional Office MIMAROPA conducted a two-day panel interview for aspiring Jail Officer 1 (JO1) applicants on June 8 and 9 as part of its recruitment and selection process for prospective jail officers.
The activity, held from June 2 to 7 at the BJMP Regional Office MIMAROPA Conference Hall in Batangas City, was spearheaded by Officer-in-Charge Jail Senior Superintendent Mirasol Vocal.
Applicants from the provinces of Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan underwent the panel interview, one of the final stages of the agencyโs recruitment process aimed at assessing their qualifications, communication skills, values, and readiness for public service.
The interview panel was composed of members of the regional command group, division chiefs, and office heads who evaluated candidates based on the standards and competencies required of future BJMP personnel.
According to the regional office, the panel interview serves as a crucial component in ensuring that only qualified and competent individuals are selected to join the jail management service and contribute to the agencyโs mandate of safekeeping and developing persons deprived of liberty.
Vocal emphasized the importance of maintaining transparency, fairness, and meritocracy throughout the recruitment process, noting that the BJMP continues to strengthen its workforce by recruiting individuals who possess integrity, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to public service.
Successful applicants will proceed to the next stages of the recruitment process in accordance with existing BJMP policies and guidelines.
The BJMP is mandated to oversee the administration and operation of district, city, and municipal jails nationwide, ensuring the safe custody and rehabilitation of persons deprived of liberty while promoting public safety and community development.
