Chua, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), the Office for Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA), and the Office of the City Treasurer, proudly honors one of its cherished centenarians for reaching the remarkable milestone of 100 years.

In recognition of this meaningful achievement as a registered resident of the city, the City Government of Batac personally presented a cash gift of โ‚ฑ18,000. The cash gifts from the provincial and national governments will be released separately at a later date.

Your remarkable journey, wisdom, strength, and legacy continue to inspire your family, friends, and the entire community. May your life remain a symbol of love, resilience, and Godโ€™s abundant blessings.

The National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC), in partnership with the City Government of Batac, conducted a door-to-door awarding of cash gifts amounting to โ‚ฑ100,000 each for two of our beloved centenarians last April 29, 2026, under Republic Act No. 11982, also known as the Expanded Centenarians Act.

Ms. Iluminada Sereno of Brgy. Baoa West and Ms. Angela Mata of Brgy. Nagbacalan were personally visited and honored for reaching the remarkable milestone of 100 years. Their lives reflect strength, resilience, and a legacy of wisdom that continues to inspire our community.

The Barangay OSCA Coordinators gathered on April 23, 2026 for their bi-monthly meeting to share updates, discuss concerns, and plan activities for the continued improvement of programs and services for senior citizens in their communities. The meeting also highlighted the importance of strong coordination and teamwork in addressing the needs of the elderly sector.

A simple yet heartfelt birthday celebration was also held during the activity. Celebrants were given flower crowns and their own cakes, adding a joyful and memorable touch to the gathering.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to continue working together for the welfare and well-being of senior citizens in every barangay.

The City Government of Batac will observe a standard eight-hour onsite workday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, from April 6 to 10, 2026.

In view of operational requirements and the 'Holiday Weeks' provision, and noting the Araw ng Kagitingan holiday on April 9, the City Government's current Compressed Workweek Arrangement is temporarily suspended.

The Oath Taking of Barangay OSCA Coordinators was held on March 13, 2026, led by City Mayor Hon. Mark Christian โ€œMarkeeโ€ R. Chua. The ceremony marked the official commitment of the newly appointed coordinators who will assist in promoting and supporting the welfare of senior citizens in their respective barangays.

Smiles and gratitude filled the Imelda Cultural Center (ICC) as the National Commission of Senior Citizens (NCSC) conducted its pay-out activity for qualified beneficiaries from the City of Batac. The activity covered applicants for 2024 and 2025, highlighting senior citizens who reached milestone ages of 80, 85, 90, 95, and 100 years old, with each receiving a โ‚ฑ10,000 cash gift.

A total of one hundred forty-four (144) senior citizens received their cash gift during the activity held on March 4, 2026. The atmosphere was warm and joyful as beneficiaries expressed their appreciation, many leaving the venue with bright smiles and grateful hearts.

Beyond the cash gift, the activity also served as a meaningful gathering for the cityโ€™s elderly residents, recognizing their lifelong contributions and the important role they continue to hold in the community.
