𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗔𝗖𝗔Ñ𝗔𝗡𝗚, 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗘, 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗕𝗘𝗙𝗢𝗥𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗦, 𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗬 𝗕𝗘𝗚𝗔𝗡 𝗜𝗡 𝗜𝗟𝗢𝗖𝗢𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗘.

Ferdinand Emmanuel Edralin Marcos was born on September 11, 1917, in Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, to educators Mariano Marcos and Josefa Edralin. He grew fond of reading books and developing his oratory skills while attending Sarrat Elementary School in his early years. The Marcos family later resided in Batac at the Marcos Ancestral Home near the Quiaoit Bridge when his father, Mariano Marcos, was elected representative for the 2nd district of Ilocos Norte. There, he spent his youth studying diligently and spending time outdoors, enjoying pistol shooting with his brother Pacifico.

Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba attends the Graduation and Job Fair for the pioneer batch of 52 scholars from the Second District of Ilocos Norte, held at Robinsons Ilocos Norte. The initiative prepared participants for immediate employment in the security services sector by equipping them with practical skills through Basic Security Training (BST), Marksmanship Training, and Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Training. Also present during the program were Municipal Mayor of San Nicolas, Hon. Ed Mar Vincent Bonoan and Municipal Mayor of Dingras, Hon. Joemelle Saguid Go-Sy.

The ₱1.04-million program was successfully carried out through the Department of Social Welfare and Development – Sustainable Livelihood Program (DSWD-SLP). This milestone initiative was made possible through strong inter-agency collaboration in partnership with the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), and a partner technical-vocational institution (TVI).

To ensure direct pathways to employment, the graduates participated in an on-site job fair with partner security agencies following their ceremony. As their next step toward full professional credentialing, the pioneer batch will undergo assessment to officially earn their Security Services NC II national certification.

Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba leads the turnover and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the newly constructed Nueva Era Special Needs Education (SNED) Inclusive Learning Resource Center and Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program facility in Nueva Era, Ilocos Norte.

Present during the ceremony were Nueva Era Mayor Atty. Aldrin R. Garvida, members of the Sangguniang Bayan led by Vice Mayor Caroline Arzadon Garvida, and Atty. Donato D. Balderas, Schools Division Superintendent of the Department of Education (DepEd) Ilocos Norte.

Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba leads the turnover and ribbon-cutting ceremony of the newly constructed Nueva Era Super Health Center.

The project was made possible through the Department of Health's Health Facilities Enhancement Program (HFEP), in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Nueva Era and through the initiative of Congressman Barba.

Present during the ceremony were Nueva Era Mayor Atty. Aldrin R. Garvida, members of the Sangguniang Bayan led by Vice Mayor Caroline Arzadon Garvida, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Rickson Balalio, and Provincial Health Team Leader Dr. John Lee Gacusan.

On August 28, 2026, Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba led the turnover and ribbon-cutting ceremonies of newly completed Multi-Purpose Buildings, Multi-Purpose Covered Courts, and a Daycare Center in several barangays in Banna, Ilocos Norte.

Congressman Barba emphasized that these facilities were built not only to serve communities today, but also to provide the younger generation with safe and supportive spaces where they can learn, grow, and prepare for the future.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

It was a simple, candid moment between Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba and a child during the turnover of the newly built Multi-Purpose Covered Court at Catagtaguen Elementary School in Banna last August 28.

Since the beginning of his journey in public service, Cong. AMB has always drawn inspiration from the youth. And sometimes, it’s in small moments like this that we are reminded why, the smiles, the conversations, and the young faces whose future makes the work worth doing.

Bilang unang Obispo Máximo ng Iglesia Filipina Independiente, isang marangal na pari, makabayan, at bayani ng pananampalataya.

His dedication, nationalism, and leadership, especially during religious and nationalist movements against Spanish colonialism, serve as an inspiration to the youth to serve God and uplift Filipinos.
