The Schools Division of the City of Batac successfully conducted the Provision of Technical Assistance Session on Quality Management System (QMS) Documentation for Schools from May 12โ22, 2026, as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen the implementation of the National Quality Management System (NQMS) in all public schools. Anchored on DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2021 or the โInstitutionalization of a Quality Management System in the Department of Education,โ the activity focused on improving school documentation processes and ensuring compliance with established quality management standards and procedures.
Participants were composed of School QMS Team members from the 33 public schools in the division, including School Heads, School QMRs, QMS Head Secretaries, and team leads for the Internal Quality Audit (IQA), Knowledge Management Team (KMT), Quality Workplace Team (QWT), and Risk Management Team (RMT). Throughout the activity, participants were oriented on the standards, requirements, and functions of the different QMS teams while accomplishing and organizing the required forms, matrices, documented procedures, and Quality Control Plans (QCPs).
The technical assistance sessions and workshop activities provided participants with hands-on guidance in the preparation, organization, and completion of required QMS documents and procedures. Discussions also focused on the duties and responsibilities of the different QMS teams, proper records management, audit preparation, workplace quality standards, and risk management practices. The activity further allowed schools to clarify concerns, review existing processes, and align their documentation with the standards and expectations of the National Quality Management System.
The activity also became a venue for collaboration and sharing of practices among schools in addressing concerns related to QMS documentation and compliance. By the end of the program, all 33 schools were able to organize and finalize their required QMS documents and Quality Control Plans for Management and Core Processes. The initiative further strengthened schoolsโ readiness in implementing quality management standards and reinforced the importance of accountability, organized documentation, and continuous improvement in the delivery of educational services.
