The Basey I District successfully conducted its “Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off Program 2026” 👏👏👏
This marks the official start of the annual nationwide initiative that promotes community participation and shared responsibility in preparing schools for the opening of classes.
The activity was spearheaded by ma’am Madelyn B. Conchas, District Brigada Eskwela Coordinator, under the leadership and guidance of ma’am Karen C. Doroja, PhD, District In-Charge.
The event was attended by School Heads, Non-Teaching Personnel, Alternative Learning System (ALS) Teachers, and Community ALS Implementors, all united in support of the district's commitment to providing a safe, clean, and learner-friendly environment for all learners.
Brigada Eskwela is more than just a school clean-up activity. It embodies the Filipino spirit of “bayanihan” where various stakeholders come together to contribute their time, skills, resources, and expertise for the improvement of school facilities and learning spaces. Through this collaborative effort, schools become better prepared to welcome learners and ensure a conducive environment that promotes quality education.
The kick-off program highlighted the importance of partnership among educators, parents, local government units, private organizations, and community members in achieving educational goals. It also served as a platform to strengthen community engagement and reinforce the shared responsibility of nurturing the nation's future through education.
As the district embarks on another year of Brigada Eskwela, participants reaffirmed their commitment to volunteerism, collaboration, and service, demonstrating that when communities work together, schools become stronger and learners are given greater opportunities to succeed.
Indeed, the successful conduct of the Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off 2026 reflects Basey I District's dedication to fostering a culture of unity, cooperation, and excellence in education.
