The activity was conducted to ensure the safety and security of the contingents, participants, and school personnel who will be staying at the designated billeting centers. The inspection also aimed to identify potential fire hazards and ensure that necessary fire safety measures are in place prior to the arrival of the contingents.

The inspection focused on the general fire safety condition of the facilities, accessibility of exits and passageways, availability of fire safety equipment, and other measures necessary to maintain a safe environment throughout the event.

The Basey Fire Station remains committed to supporting the safety and security of school activities through proactive fire prevention, inspection, and coordination with school authorities and other concerned agencies.

Open burning does not only contribute to air pollution but may also pose serious risks to public health, the environment, and fire safety. Uncontrolled flames can easily spread to nearby houses, vegetation, and other combustible materials, potentially resulting in destructive fires.

The public is reminded to properly manage and dispose of household and other waste through safe and environmentally responsible practices.

The activity was conducted in coordination with the ๐๐ก๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ฉ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ž ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐œ๐ž (๐๐๐) and school personnel as part of the nationwide initiative to strengthen preparedness and response to active-threat incidents in schools.

The drill aimed to equip students, teachers, and school personnel with the necessary knowledge on appropriate actions and immediate response protocols during an active shooting or other active-threat situation. It also provided an opportunity for participating agencies to clarify their respective roles and strengthen coordination during emergency situations.

The Basey Fire Station emphasized the importance of remaining calm, following established emergency procedures, immediately seeking a safe location, and cooperating with responding authorities during an active-threat incident. The activity also highlighted the importance of effective communication, rapid coordination, and preparedness in protecting the lives of students and school personnel.

Through its participation in this initiative, the Basey Fire Station continues to support efforts to promote a safer school environment and strengthen the community's preparedness and capability to respond to emergencies and other threats.

The activity aimed to strengthen teamwork, camaraderie, communication, and coordination among personnel while emphasizing the importance of water safety, drowning prevention, and lifesaving skillsโ€”essential knowledge for BFP personnel in responding to water-related emergencies.

The activity featured engaging and age-appropriate learning activities designed to introduce young learners to the importance of fire prevention, preparedness, and safety. The pupils were given basic fire safety reminders, including the importance of keeping away from matches, lighters, and other sources of fire, not playing with electrical outlets and appliances, and knowing what to do in case of a fire.

A demonstration on the proper use of a fire extinguisher was also conducted to familiarize the pupils and school personnel with basic fire emergency response procedures and the importance of seeking adult assistance during a fire emergency.

The activity also included a storytelling session entitled "Fire Dogs," which provided the young learners with an entertaining and meaningful way to understand fire safety and prevention. Through storytelling and interactive discussions, the pupils were encouraged to develop safe habits and become more aware of the dangers of fire.

The activity focused on enhancing the proficiency of fire engine crew members in essential firefighting operations, including proper hose handling, hose coupling, deployment techniques, equipment familiarization, crew coordination, and effective communication during fire ground operations.

The skills practice aims to strengthen teamwork, improve response efficiency, and ensure that personnel are well-prepared to perform their respective duties safely and effectively during actual fire emergencies.

Through continuous training and hands-on skills enhancement, Basey Fire Station remains committed to maintaining operational readiness and providing prompt, efficient, and reliable emergency response services to the community.
