The examination schedule will be on April 28-29, 2025 with a morning batch (9AM to 11AM) and an afternoon batch (1:00-3:00PM).
Examinee Minimum Qualifications:

📌No grade below 85% in the following subjects: English, Math, and Science

Bring the following:
📌 Pencil with eraser
📌 Scientific Calculator
📌 Photocopy of credentials (birth certificate and JHS card)

𝗨𝗩 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗡𝗛𝗦 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀

To help learners explore their career potential, the University of the Visayas (UV) held a career coaching and guidance session to the Grade 12 students of Basay National High School on March 27, 2025.

The session, titled "Unlocking Potentials: Discovering Career Options," aimed to inspire and guide students as they prepare for their next steps after high school.

The event was attended by SDS Anelito Bongcawil who highlighted the importance of choosing a right career path. “Your dreams are your blueprint for your future. You need to wake up and fulfill your dreams because it is not just about having a job and earning money, rather giving meaning to your life," said SDS Bongcawil.

Keynote speaker Ms. Maria Lovella Anggong provided valuable insights on career coaching, helping students understand the importance of aligning their skills and interests with potential career paths. Dr. Ma. Crispy Velasco, UV Director of the Communication and Public Affairs Department, also shared her expertise on career development and personal branding.

“After studying, you will be facing the realities of life; this is a never-ending schooling of all times. Do not limit yourself to the severly minimum of the opportunities and expand your horizon,” Dr. Velasco remarked.

Furthermore, the session was graced by PSDS Ricardo Raging, PSDS Lilibeth Feril, School Principal Victoriano Jauculan and featured additional facilitators, including Ms. Arlene Del Prado, Dr. William Buquia, Dr. Elezabeth Domugho, Ms. Elona Maristela, and Ms. Mercenisa Piala.

𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧!

March 9, 2025 - Athletes, coaches, and officials from the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Dumaguete City are currently being billeted at Basay National High School in preparation for the 2025 Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CViRAA) Meet.

Basay NHS facilities are being utilized to accommodate almost 1000 Dumaguete delegates, ensuring that they have a comfortable and accessible base for the duration of the meet.

The CViRAA Meet 2025 is set to be a showcase of the region's top sporting talent starting on March 11 to 16, with Dumaguete City fielding a competitive team in a variety of events.

𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 has made its mark at the 𝗕𝗮𝘆𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 (𝗗𝗦𝗣𝗖) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, securing the 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝗽 title.

The awarding ceremony which happened during the RSPC planning conference was graced by Dr. Renante Juanillo, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID); Dr. Emma Artes, Education Program Supervisor I in English; and Mr. Wicko Santiago, President of the Bayawan City Division School Paper Advisers Association and Basay NHS’ Journalism Adviser; and coaches including Ms. Lee Marie Marfiel, Ms. Faithel Mae Omoyon, and Ms. Melrose Lugatiman.

The prestigious event which was held on January 22-24 at Saint Augustine Academy of Bayawan City, Inc., saw Basay NHS campus journalists who excelled across various categories, showcasing their exceptional skills and dedication.

In a remarkable display of knowledge and teamwork, Nino Jay Nunez and Ayezza Reane Calunod of Basay National High School earned the prestigious 2nd Place at the highly anticipated 2nd Inter-School Quiz Bee held at Saint Augustine Academy of Bayawan City, Inc. on January 30, 2025.
