𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗬 𝗦𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝟳𝗧𝗛 𝗢𝗡𝗘 𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗔𝗡𝗔𝗢 𝗦𝗖𝗢𝗨𝗧 𝗝𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗘𝗘

September 5-6, 2026 - The Local Government Unit of Baroy, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Rosa Dahab-Olafsson, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), extended support to the 7th One Mindanao Scout Jamboree held at Camp Obediencia, Pendulonan, Lala, Lanao del Norte, attended by approximately 4,000 participants.

Upon the request of the MDRRMO of Lala, Mayor Rosa Dahab-Olafsson augmented Baroy’s MDRRMO personnel to provide emergency response, first aid, safety monitoring, and other support needed to help ensure the safety and well-being of the participants throughout the activity.

The LGU Baroy congratulates the organizers, scouts, leaders, volunteers, and all individuals behind the successful conduct of this significant gathering. Your dedication, teamwork, and spirit of service made the jamboree a meaningful and successful experience for thousands of young scouts.

𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗕𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗬 𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗡𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗪𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗛𝗢𝗢𝗟 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬 𝗗𝗥𝗜𝗟𝗟 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗩𝗘 𝗔𝗧𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗞 𝗜𝗡𝗖𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦

September 3, 2026 - The Local Government Unit of Baroy, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Rosa Dahab-Olafsson, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), joined the entire nation in the conduct of the Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents.

The activity was conducted at Sto. Niño Academy of Baroy, Inc., led by School Principal Jay Mar R. Pajente, where an orientation was followed by the actual safety drill to enhance the preparedness and awareness of students and school personnel in responding to an active attack incident.

The activity was supported by partner agencies, including the Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), strengthening inter-agency coordination and emergency response preparedness.

An orientation was also conducted at Baroy Central Elementary School (BCES), led by School Principal Edna S. Chan, focusing on awareness, preparedness, and appropriate safety protocols during emergency situations.

The LGU Baroy extends its sincere appreciation to all participating agencies, school administrators, teachers, and students for their cooperation and active participation.

Through activities like this, we continue to strengthen a culture of preparedness, vigilance, and safety in our schools and communities.

August 30, 2026 - The Local Government Unit of Baroy, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Rosa Dahab-Olafsson, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), conducted a Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid Orientation during the Kabataan sa Barangay Assembly organized by the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Village, headed by SK Chairperson Al Vincent Dayo.

The orientation aimed to equip young participants with basic knowledge and life-saving skills that can be crucial during emergencies and disasters. Through this initiative, the youth are encouraged to become more prepared, responsive, and responsible members of their communities.

The activity was facilitated by Team Alpha of MDRRMO Baroy, led by TL Edmar Riconalla. This forms part of the MDRRMO’s continuing efforts to strengthen community preparedness, build local response capacities, and promote a culture of resilience toward a safer and more disaster-resilient Baroy.

August 25, 2026 - The Local Government Unit of Baroy, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Rosa Dahab-Olafsson, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), participated in the Desk Evaluation conducted by the Office of Civil Defense Region X (OCD-X) together with its partner agencies as part of this year’s Gawad KALASAG Seal of Excellence evaluation.

The activity assessed the LGU’s disaster risk reduction and management programs, preparedness measures, response mechanisms, and overall efforts toward building a safer and more resilient community.

The LGU Baroy expresses its sincere gratitude to the Office of Civil Defense Region X, headed by Sir Antonio B. Sugarol, and the partner agencies for their guidance and continued support in strengthening local disaster resilience.

Special appreciation is also extended to Hon. Mayor Rosa Dahab-Olafsson for her steadfast support and commitment to the MDRRMO and to the municipality’s disaster risk reduction initiatives.

August 23, 2026 - The Local Government Unit of Baroy, under the leadership of Hon. Mayor Rosa Dahab-Olafsson, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), provided support and assistance during the Lanao del Norte BRM 200 – Populaire 116KMS, organized by Audax Randonneurs Philippines.

From the installation of event tarps to standby assistance along the highways, the MDRRMO team remained ready to assist and help ensure the safety and well-being of cyclists passing through the municipality.

The LGU Baroy warmly congratulates the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte, headed by Gov. Mohamad Khalid Q. Dimaporo, for the successful hosting of this challenging and exciting cycling event.

The LGU Baroy remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote sports, tourism, road safety, and community participation, and to working closely with partner agencies and organizations in ensuring safe and successful activities.
