June 4, 2026 - Following their participation in a clean-up drive activity at Barangay San Juan earlier today, personnel of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of the Local Government Unit of Baroy, under the leadership of Hon. Rosa Dahab-Olafsson, continued their commitment to community service by taking part in Brigada Eskwela 2026 through simultaneous efforts in two public schools within the municipality.

One MDRRMO team joined the clean-up activities at Maliwanag Elementary School, helping prepare the school environment for the opening of classes. Meanwhile, another team proceeded to Baroy Central Elementary School, where they conducted the removal and uprooting of hazardous trees within the school grounds to help ensure the safety of learners, teachers, and school personnel.

These initiatives reflect the true spirit of bayanihan and volunteerism, demonstrating the LGU's unwavering support for educational institutions and its dedication to creating clean, safe, and conducive learning environments for all.

Through collective action and shared responsibility, LGU Baroy continues to strengthen community partnerships and promote a culture of service that benefits present and future generations.

June 1, 2026 - Under the leadership of Hon. Rosa Dahab-Olafsson, the Local Government Unit of Baroy, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), actively participated in the Brigada Eskwela at Lanao del Norte National Comprehensive High School.

With the theme “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa Para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman,” the MDRRMO team contributed through simple but meaningful cleaning activities within the school grounds, helping prepare a safer and more conducive environment for the learners.

Their participation reflects the LGU’s continued support for school initiatives and its commitment to community involvement through bayanihan, where even small acts of service contribute to a better learning space for students.

Through collective effort and shared responsibility, LGU Baroy once again shows that service to the community is best expressed through action, unity, and cooperation.

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Baroy proudly hosted a friendly basketball tournament participated in by the MDRRM Offices of Baroy, Magsaysay, and Lala, together with the personnel of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO).

The activity aimed to strengthen camaraderie, teamwork, coordination, and fellowship among disaster response personnel, promoting stronger partnerships beyond emergency operations and public service.

The Municipality of Baroy, through the leadership of Rosa Dahab-Olafsson, was honored to serve as the host municipality for this meaningful gathering. Adding excitement to the event, the MDRRMO Baroy team emerged victorious in the friendly competition, showcasing teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship on and off the court.

More than just a game, the tournament became an opportunity for responders to build stronger connections and solidarity, reinforcing their shared commitment to disaster preparedness, response, and community resilience.
