For the first time in its history, Northern Iloilo State University โ€“ Barotac Viejo Campus will conduct its Recognition Program 2026 and 5th Commencement Exercises at the Barotac Viejo Municipal Gymnasium.

As the Academic Year 2025โ€“2026 comes to a close, the campus celebrates the achievements of its students and recognizes the hard work, perseverance, and excellence they have demonstrated throughout the year.

The occasion will also mark a significant milestone for the graduating Class of 2026 as they formally wear the NISU Sablay, symbolizing the successful completion of four years of dedication, commitment, and academic journey.

Northern Iloilo State University (NISU) officially resumes its regular five-day workweek schedule effective June 1, 2026, marking the Universityโ€™s continued commitment to strengthening public service delivery and institutional operations across all campuses and offices.

The reversion to the regular workweek aims to further improve efficiency, accessibility of services, and coordination among university offices in support of students, parents, stakeholders, and the wider academic community. University officials emphasized that the return to the standard work arrangement reflects NISUโ€™s dedication to responsive governance and quality public service.

The administration also called on all offices and personnel to ensure smooth implementation of the regular work schedule while maintaining professionalism, productivity, and service excellence in line with the Universityโ€™s vision and mission.

Through this transition, NISU continues to uphold its commitment as a SMART University that advances innovation, inclusion, and academic excellence for the benefit of the community and the region.
