Promoting Bayanihan and Safer Learning Environments: BFP Barotac Nuevo Joins Brigada Eskwela 2026

Barotac Nuevo Fire Station personnel, led by SFO4 Romelo D Aguilar, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, actively participated in the Brigada Eskwela activity of Barotac Nuevo National Comprehensive High School. Strengthening Emergency Preparedness Through Knowledge and Leadership: BFP Barotac Nuevo Participates in Incident Command System Executive Course

SFO4 Romelo D Aguilar, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal of Barotac Nuevo Fire Station, served as one of the Resource Persons during the Incident Command System (ICS) Executive Course conducted by the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC) Region VI and the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) Region VI for the employees of Don Jose S. Monfort Medical Center. The activity was held at Ina Farmers Learning Site and Agri Farm Inc., Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.

During the course, SFO4 Aguilar delivered lectures and shared valuable insights on the principles, organizational structure, and practical application of the Incident Command System in emergency and disaster management. The discussions highlighted the importance of effective leadership, coordinated response, proper resource management, and clear communication in ensuring efficient incident management and community safety.

Strengthening Community Engagement Through Active Participation: BFP Barotac Nuevo Attended Public Hearing

BFP Barotac Nuevo Fire Station personnel, led by SFO4 Romelo D Aguilar, Acting Municipal Fire Marshal, attended a Public Hearing conducted by the Local Government Unit of Barotac Nuevo held at the Social Hall, New Municipal Building, Brgy. Tabucan, Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo.

The public hearing served as a platform for discussing proposed ordinances and gathering valuable insights from stakeholders and members of the community. Among the ordinances presented and deliberated during the hearing were:

1. An Ordinance Prohibiting the Act of Being Topless or Half-Naked in Public Places;
2. An Ordinance Regulating the Use of Videoke Machines and Other Amplified Audio Devices;
3. An Ordinance Governing the Use of Firecrackers and Pyrotechnics in the Municipality of Barotac Nuevo, Iloilo; and
4. An Ordinance Regulating the Use, Sale, Distribution, Advertisement of Ci******es and Other To***co Products, Electronic Ci******es, Heated To***co Products, and Other Nicotine/Non-Nicotine Delivery Devices, Imposing Penalties for Violations Thereof and Providing Funds Therefor to Promote Health Consciousness and for Other Purposes.
