𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | Gov. Cecilia Araneta Marcos Leads Rice Distribution to 986 Banna Residents

Governor Cecilia Araneta Marcos led the distribution of rice assistance to 986 qualified residents of Banna under the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) – Financial Assistance to Local Government Units.

Each beneficiary received 10 kilograms of rice, with food packs containing an additional 5 kilograms. The assistance is intended to provide immediate support to families and individuals, particularly those belonging to vulnerable sectors of the community.

Among the identified beneficiaries are indigent families, solo parents, senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PWDs), laborers, farmers, and members of transport groups.

The distribution highlights the continuing efforts of the government to strengthen food security and extend meaningful assistance to communities in need. The rollout also reflects the importance of collaboration among different levels of government in ensuring that support reaches qualified beneficiaries in a timely and equitable manner.

The Local Government Unit of Banna through the leadership of Hon. Mary Chrislyn C. Abadilla, extends its gratitude to Governor Araneta Marcos and the Provincial Government of Ilocos Norte for their welfare programs.

Meanwhile, the LGU Banna Operations Center and Health Office shall remain on duty to ensure the continuous delivery of vital public health and emergency services.

LOOK | Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba Inspects New Community Facilities in Banna

Congressman Angelo Marcos Barba led the inspection of several newly completed community facilities in Banna, Ilocos Norte yesterday, August 28. A champion of building lasting development for local communities, Congressman Barba talked to barangay officials about the importance of accessible spaces and how they can ensure the safe delivery of government services.

The project sites which includes new multi-purpose halls in Barangays Tabtabagan, Caestebanan, Binacag, and Catagtaguen; a multi-purpose hall and building in Barangay Valenciano; a daycare center in Barangay Balioeg; and a multi-purpose hall at Catagtaguen Elementary School, are part of the congressman’s strategic foresight. Heavily investing in the future- an approach that encompasses constructing multi-purpose buildings while prioritizing social foundations at the grassroots level, Congressman Barba’s projects are anchored in high utility development where every peso spent yields maximum social and economic value.

The inauguration was attended by officials from key government agencies and the Local Government Unit of Banna as represented by Vice Mayor Carlito A. Abadilla and members of the Sangguiniang Bayan.

The Local Government Unit of Banna, through the leadership and support of Mayor Mary Chrislyn C. Abadilla, honored 25 outstanding graduates from various universities during the “Pammigbig Ken Bannatiran” program.

The recognition brought together graduates who earned cm laude, magna cm laude, and summa cm laude distinctions in their respective fields of study. The activity recognized not only their academic accomplishments but also the perseverance, discipline, and dedication that enabled them to reach this significant milestone.

In her message, Mayor Abadilla congratulated the graduates and their families, acknowledging the sacrifices and support behind every achievement. She emphasized that graduation marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with greater responsibilities and opportunities to contribute to their families and the community.

Mayor Abadilla also encouraged the graduates to remain humble, continue learning, and use their knowledge and skills in meaningful ways.
