Oscar Muñoz Orbos (born January 28, 1951), popularly known as Ka Oca / Manong Oca, was a Philippine TV personality and host of GMA Network's Debate with Mare at Pare. He was a former representative of the 1st District of Pangasinan and also became the provincial governor of the same province. Oscar was also the vice presidential running-mate of former Defense Secretary Renato De Villa in the 1998
national elections. They ran under the Partido ng Demokratikong Reporma–Lapiang Manggagawa political party. Oscar, is the eldest of 5 children of spouses Atty. Guillermo O. Orbos (native of Bani, Pangasinan) and Concepcion Muñoz Orbos (native of San Carlos, Pangasinan). His father, Guillermo, was a lawyer and a former customs collector. His mother, Concepcion, was a school teacher. Oscar is also the brother of Fr. Jerry Orbos, SVD, and also Thomas "Tim" Orbos (Former MMDA General Manager and Usec of DOTR). Oscar is an ex-seminarian. He was also a consistent honor student at San Sebastian College where he graduated as the valedictorian of his batch. He became an Entrance Scholar and Dean's Lister at the University of the Philippines, School of Economics in Diliman. Oscar finished Bachelor of Laws and excelled even in extra-curricular activities making him Lord Chancellor of the Alpha Phi Beta Fraternity and the Editorial Consultant of the Philippine Collegian. He is married to Rosita "Rose" Orbos (native of Balanga, Bataan). Rose was a scholar of the Rockefeller Foundation having finished her Master of Arts Degree in Economics at the University of the Philippines. She also became an economics teacher in UP, DLSU and UST. Oscar and Rose have 3 children, Mark, Ginny, and Luke. Currently, he is a practicing lawyer and an independent board of director of a private corporation.
