The Department of the Interior and Local Government-Cordillera Administrative Region (DILG-CAR) congratulates the 71 Local Government Units (LGUs) in the region that successfully passed the 2025 Good Financial Housekeeping (GFH) Assessment, achieving an 85.54% regional passing rate.

This achievement highlights the commitment of Cordillera LGUs to maintaining the highest standards of transparency, accountability, and responsible fiscal management through compliance with the requirements of the Good Financial Housekeeping assessment.

The GFH recognition reflects the dedication of local governments in ensuring that public funds are managed effectively, financial records are properly maintained, and essential information is made accessible to the public.

DILG-CAR commends all the 2025 GFH passers for their steadfast commitment to good governance and public service. May this milestone continue to inspire excellence, integrity, and accountability among local government units across the Cordillera.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government-Cordillera (DILG-CAR) and the Provincial Government of Abra joined forces to develop its Capacity Development Agenda (CDA) to translate the results of the province's performance assessments into capacity development interventions today, June 2.

Representing Abra Governor Eustaquio P. Bersamin, Provincial Administrator Atty. Brynn A. Mina welcomed the CDA Formulation-Workshop, citing that more than just aiming for recognition such as the Seal of Good Local Governance, this activity is an important mechanism to further improve the province's delivery of services to people of Abra.

DILG-Abra Provincial Director Kristoffer Dave R. Alvarez expressed his gratitude to the Provincial Government of Abra for their commitment to collaborate on this endeavor. He emphasized the importance of addressing capacity development gaps in order for the province to achieve its broader developmental goals.

This activity is part of the first rollout of the DILG-CAR's Provincial CDA Formulation-Workshop series designed to engage provincial governments to develop an updated registry of capacity development needs that will support their effective transition towards full devolution.
