Once again, Barangay Agdeppa was chosen as one of the top 5 Barangays qualified for Validation and Assessment of Barangay Road Clearing Operations (BarCo)
The 4th Quarter On-Site Validation and Assessment for the Barangay Road Clearing Operations (BaRCo) was conducted on January 20, 2026 at Barangay Agdeppa, Bangar, La Union. The activity was led in coordination with MLGOO Patrick Jorge Sibayan and attended by representatives from the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) headed by Mr. Michael Karl Flores, Ms. Regina M. Labiano, of the Department of Agriculture (DA), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Representatives.
The team conducted on-site inspections and document validation to assess the barangay’s compliance with road clearing standards, including the removal of obstructions, proper use of road spaces, and maintenance of cleared areas. Findings and recommendations were discussed with barangay officials to further strengthen implementation and sustainability of the BaRCo program. The activity highlighted the importance of inter-agency coordination in promoting public safety, accessibility, and orderly road use within the barangay.
