📢 PUBLIC ADVISORY | AUGUST 20, 2026 (THURSDAY)

Pursuant to Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 131, and in anticipation of continued heavy rainfall brought by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), the following arrangements shall be observed tomorrow, August 20, 2026:

📚 CLASSES
Classes at all levels shall adopt alternative learning modalities. All in-person classes are suspended.

🏛️ GOVERNMENT OFFICES
Government offices within the municipality, except the Municipal Government of Bangar, shall implement their respective alternative work arrangements in accordance with applicable rules and guidelines.

For the Municipal Government of Bangar, work and services shall continue under a skeleton workforce arrangement, with personnel divided into morning and afternoon shifts, to ensure continuity of public services.

🚨 Offices and personnel providing health, disaster preparedness and response, security, and other essential and vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

🏢 PRIVATE SECTOR
The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in private establishments shall be at the discretion of their respective management.

Everyone is advised to remain vigilant, prioritize safety, and continue monitoring official advisories for further updates.

In accordance with Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 131, dated August 19, 2026, and in view of the continued heavy rainfall brought by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), the following arrangements shall be observed in the Municipality of Bangar tomorrow, August 20, 2026 (Thursday):

📚 CLASSES
All in-person classes at all levels, both public and private, are suspended. Alternative learning modalities shall be implemented to ensure learning continuity.

🏛️ MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS
Work and services of the Municipal Government shall continue under a skeletal workforce arrangement, with personnel divided into morning and afternoon shifts, to ensure the continuous delivery of essential and public services while minimizing travel risks.

🚨 Offices and personnel involved in basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue to render the necessary services.

Everyone is advised to remain vigilant, avoid unnecessary travel, and continue monitoring official weather advisories and announcements from the Municipal Government.

Pursuant to Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 128, and in view of the continuous heavy rainfall associated with the Southwest Monsoon, please be informed of the following arrangements for Tuesday, 18 August 2026:

🎓 CLASSES
In-person classes at ALL LEVELS in both public and private schools are SUSPENDED. Schools shall implement Alternative Learning Modalities to ensure the continuity of learning.

🏠 WORK IN GOVERNMENT OFFICES
Government offices shall implement appropriate Alternative Work Arrangements, including Work-From-Home (WFH), as may be applicable.

⚠️ WHO SHALL CONTINUE TO REPORT FOR WORK?
Personnel of government agencies and offices involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Schools are advised to implement Alternative Learning Modalities to ensure the continuity of learning.

WELCOME TO BANGAR, ELECTION OFFICER RAMIREZ!

The Municipal Government of Bangar warmly welcomes Mr. Mark Christopher Ramirez, the newly assigned Election Officer of Bangar, La Union, who paid a courtesy visit to Municipal Mayor Joy Pinzon Merin.

Mr. Ramirez was accompanied by outgoing Election Officer Mr. Onofre Tilang and Election Assistant Ms. Bernice Refugia. During the visit, he shared updates on COMELEC’s preparations for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections scheduled for 2 November 2026.

The LGU also extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Tilang for his dedicated service and valuable contributions to the Municipality. We wish him a fulfilling and well-deserved retirement.

We look forward to working closely with Mr. Ramirez in upholding clean, honest, peaceful, and orderly elections in Bangar.

📢 WORK SCHEDULE ADVISORY

The Municipal Government of Bangar will temporarily observe an 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM work schedule from 17 to 20 August 2026, in view of Ninoy Aquino Day on 21 August 2026, a Special Non-Working Holiday.

The regular Compressed Workweek Schedule of 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM will resume on 24 August 2026.
