KALIBO, AKLAN — The 601st Community Defense Center (601CDC), under the leadership of COL DELFIN C CONSOLACION JR INF (GSC) PA, Director, 601CDC, 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA, together with the Reservist Officers and Enlisted Personnel of the 601st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (601RRIBn), actively participated in the Civic and Military Parade, Flag Raising and Wreath Laying Ceremonies in Celebration of the 70th Founding Anniversary of Aklan Province.

The activity was held at the Goding Ramos Shrine, gathering key leaders and stakeholders from across the province. The reservist contingent was led by LTC BIATREZ Y DIEL MC (GSC) PA (RES), CMO Officer of 601RRIBn and currently Brigade Commander of TAS-Group, AFPRESCOM.

The event was graced by the Guest of Honor and Speaker Hon Jose Enrique M Miraflores, Provincial Governor of Aklan, alongside LTC ELMAR L SALVADOR INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer of the 82nd Infantry Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, Philippine Army, who served as the Military Host. Also in attendance were mayors and representatives from the seventeen (17) municipalities, various government agencies, and partner stakeholders throughout the province.

The commemorative activities highlighted unity, patriotism and the enduring partnership between the military, local government units and the people of Aklan in promoting peace, development and nation-building.

The 601CDC, 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA, serving as the Citizen Army Builder’s Administrator, will continue its efforts and remain committed to institutionalizing the Reserve Force in Aklan Province.

BANGA, AKLAN — April 09, 2026 | The 601st Community Defense Center (601CDC), under the leadership of COL DELFIN C CONSOLACION JR INF (GSC) PA, Director, 601CDC, 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA, actively participated in the nationwide conduct of the “LAKAD-KALAYAAN” 2026 in commemoration of National Valor Day.

The activity was held at Headquarters 601CDC, Camp Jizmundo, Libas, Banga, Aklan, in collaboration with the Veterans Federation of the Philippines (VFP) – Aklan Chapter, Reservist Personnel of the 601st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (601RRIBn), and the Advance and Basic ROTC Cadets of Aklan State University (ASU) ROTC Unit.

Participants from various sectors marched together in solidarity, demonstrating their shared commitment to preserving the legacy of courage and nationalism. The involvement of the youth, particularly the ROTC cadets, emphasized the continuing role of the younger generation in upholding the values of patriotism and civic responsibility.

The event commenced with a parade followed by a solemn flag-raising ceremony and the pledge of allegiance to the Philippine flag, symbolizing unwavering patriotism, unity, and loyalty to the nation.
COL CONSOLACION JR emphasized the importance of commemorating National Valor Day as a reminder of the bravery and selflessness of Filipino heroes. He also lauded the collaborative efforts of partner organizations and stakeholders in making the activity meaningful and successful.

BANGA, AKLAN — March 30, 2026 | The 601st Community Defense Center (601CDC), under the leadership of COL DELFIN C CONSOLACION JR INF (GSC) PA, Director, 601CDC, 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA, formally welcomed LTC MICHAEL M MADAYAG GSC (INF) PA, Deputy, Real Estate Center, IMCOM, PA and Head, OCEPA Survey Team 1, during a site survey activity held at Headquarters 601CDC, Camp Jizmundo, Libas, Banga, Aklan.
LTC MADAYAG was accompanied by MAJ NYRO B JIMENEZ (OS) PA, Director, 603CDC, 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA; personnel from the 552ECBn, 53EBde, PA and MAJ CLINTON A CANDELARIO PA (RES), Commanding Officer, Alpha Company, 601RRIBn.
The activity commenced with a unit briefing presented by COL CONSOLACION JR., highlighting the proposed site development plan for the establishment of the Mobilization Center (MOBCEN). This was followed by coordination with LTC ELMAR L SALVADOR INF (GSC) PA, Commanding Officer, 82nd Infantry Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division, Philippine Army, in line with the planned site survey for the proposed location of MOBCEN.
Subsequently, an actual site survey was conducted at Camp Jizmundo, Libas, Banga, Aklan to assess the suitability of the area for the establishment of the said project.

BANGA, AKLAN — March 15, 2026 | The 601st Community Defense Center (601CDC), headed by COL DELFIN C CONSOLACION JR INF (GSC) PA, Director, 601CDC, 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA, spearheaded the Battalion Mustering/Formation of the 601st Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (601RRIBn) held at Headquarters 601CDC, Camp Jizmundo, Brgy Libas, Banga, Aklan.
Present during the activity were the Company First Sergeants (F/Sgts), Company Commanders and Battalion Staff Officers led by MAJ ANDREW D SUALOG PA (RES), Battalion Executive Officer, 601RRIBn.
The activity commenced with the accounting of troops conducted by the respective Company First Sergeants, followed by a short program. A series of informative lectures was also conducted to enhance the awareness and readiness of the reservists.
2LT ROGIE E RODRIGUEZ (INF) PA delivered a lecture on Republic Act No. 7077, also known as the Citizen Armed Forces of the Philippines Reservist Act, including the processing of Call to Active Duty (CAD) under the said law.
Subsequently, Ms Joanna Marie E Mendoza, Supervisor of AFPMBAI – Iloilo Branch, served as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and discussed Financial Management, emphasizing the importance of financial literacy among reservists.
Another lecture was delivered by Pvt Melanie G Tejada PA (Res), Chief Nurse of Ciriaco Tirol Hospital, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan focusing on Self-Care and Stress Management, highlighting the importance of maintaining both physical and mental well-being.
In his message, COL CONSOLACION emphasized the significant role of reservists in nation-building and national security, particularly during emergencies and disasters. He also reiterated the duties and responsibilities of reservists, the upcoming Physical Medical Examination (PME) for 1st and 2nd Category Reservists and the Physical Fitness Test (PFT) for the 1st Semester of CY 2026. Additionally, he discussed the Command Thrusts for the reorganization of the Ready Reserve Units (RRU) into the Provincial Task Force to further strengthen the reserve force structure.
The activity aimed to ensure the operational readiness, capability development and organizational strengthening of reservists, reinforcing their vital role as partners of the Armed Forces of the Philippines in safeguarding the nation and supporting community development initiatives.

KALIBO, AKLAN — March 07, 2026 | The 601st Community Defense Center, 6th Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, joined the simultaneous Blood Donation Activity in connection with the 129th Philippine Army Founding Anniversary, with the theme: “Ang Inyong Matatag na Hukbong Katihan.”
This activity was conducted in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross – Aklan Chapter, LGU–Banga, Aklan State University (ASU), Northwestern Visayan Colleges (NVC), Aklan Catholic College (ACC), and other key stakeholders across the province.
The initiative aims to organize bloodletting activities that will help ensure an immediate, safe, and free supply of blood for patients in need across local hospitals. Through the participation of reservists, volunteers, students, and community partners, the blood donation drive reinforces the spirit of service, bayanihan, and shared responsibility for the welfare of the people of Aklan.

BANGA, AKLAN — March 05, 2026 | COL DELFIN C CONSOLACION JR INF (GSC) PA, Director 601st Community Defense Center (601CDC) 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA spearheaded the Opening Ceremony of the Citizen Advancement Training (CAT) of Aguinaldo T. Repiedad Sr. Integrated School (ATRISIS) held at Headquarters 601CDC, Camp Jizmundo, Libas, Banga, Aklan.

The activity was attended by faculty members and staff of ATRISIS headed by Mrs Jecel I Fernando, CAT Commandant, together with One Hundred Four (104) participating students who will undergo the Citizen Advancement Training program.

The opening ceremony formally marked the start of the CAT program which aims to instill discipline, leadership, patriotism and civic responsibility among the students. Through this training, the participants will be oriented on basic military concepts, leadership principles, and values that contribute to nation-building and community service.

Malay, Aklan — February 28, 2026 | COL DELFIN C CONSOLACION JR INF (GSC) PA, Director 601st Community Defense Center (601CDC) 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA formally welcomed COL ANTONIO V BURTON GSC (INF) PA, Assistant Division Commander for Reservist and Retiree Affairs (ADCRRA), 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division, Philippine Army during the mustering in connection with the visit of 1st Platoon Charlie Company, 601RRIBn led by MAJ JUANITO N MANGAONG PA (RES), Commanding Officer, Charlie Company at Borracks, Brgy Manoc-Manoc, Boracay Island, Malay, Aklan.

The activity was an information drive conducted by 2LT ROGIE E RODRIGUEZ (INF) PA, on Republic Act No. 2334, also known as the Citizen Armed Force or Reservist Act and Processing of CAD under RA 2334. The program reiterates on how to become a Commission Officer and provides qualified reservist officers the opportunity to render active-duty service in support of the Philippine Army’s core mandates, including national defense, disaster response, community development, peace and security operations. Through the Call to Active Duty (CAD) Program, reservist officers are given the platform to apply their leadership, technical expertise, and professional experience while serving the Filipino people in an active status. The initiative emphasized that qualified reservists who meet prescribed age, medical, physical, and documentary requirements are encouraged to apply and actively contribute to enhancing the Army’s operational readiness and overall capability. After which COL BURTON gave a message about the Reserve Force Development Program and other matters in relation to the directives coming from Higher Headquarters.

‎The Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) Unit of Altavas College held its donning of ranks ceremony for the newly promoted officers at the Altavas National School Conference Room on Sunday, February 22,2026

‎‎With the theme “Honor, Duty, Patriotism,” the event formally recognized cadets who have demonstrated merit, leadership, and commitment, marking their official transition to command roles within the unit.

‎During the ceremony, the newly promoted officers were formally invested with their rank insignia, receiving badges and pins corresponding to their positions.

‎"Accepting responsibility and leadership, a character strengthened trough training and perseverance , leadership and wearing the insignia is not how many people salute you but how many people you inspire" said Dr. Belarmino

‎The ceremony was graced by Col. Delfin C. Consolacion Jr., INF (GSC) PA, Director of 601CDC, 6RCDG, RCPA, and other GMA'S and VIP'S.

‎It was then concluded by Sgt Krysta T. Tomco PA (Res) who served as the Lady Dean of the program.

Kalibo, Aklan - February 09, 2026, the Director of the 601st Community Defense Center (601CDC), 6th Regional Community Defense Group (6RCDG), RESCOM, PA, Colonel Delfin C Consolacion Jr INF (GSC) PA, attended the 1st Quarter Calendar Year 2026 Joint Meeting of the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC), Provincial Anti-Drug Abuse Council (PADAC), and Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) held at the Aklan Training Center, Brgy Old Buswang, Kalibo, Aklan. The meeting was presided over by Hon Jose Enrique M Miraflores, Governor of the Province of Aklan and was attended by members of the PPOC, Local Chief Executives (LCEs), Heads of National and Local Government agencies and as is various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
During the meeting, COL Consolacion Jr, presented and discussed the mandates of Local Government Units (LGUs) under the Republic Act 7077, otherwise known as the Citizen Armed Force or Reservist Act and Republic Act 9163, the National Service Training Program (NSTP) Law. These laws serve as key foundations in strengthening Reserve Force Development in the Province of Aklan, particularly in the proposed establishment of a Citizen Military Training Center / Mobilization Center.
The participation of 601CDC in the joint council meeting underscored the AFP’s continued commitment to inter-agency collaboration, local governance support, and the enhancement of community-based defense and development initiatives in the province.
The 601st CDC, 6RCDG, RESCOM, PA, serving as the Citizen Army Builder’s Administrator, will continue its efforts and remain committed to institutionalizing the Reserve Force in Aklan Province.
