From the Iwang ad Batad (Rice Harvest Festival), to our regular session on Monday, and now to the Executive Course on the Incident Command System conducted by the Office of the Civil Defense, CAR, the work continues. Year-in, year-out, Banaue is disaster‑prone, and strengthening our disaster readiness is part of serving our people well. Learning never stops, and so does our service for Banaue. Quiet steps, steady commitment, and a heart anchored in service.

May 31, 2026: Joined the trek for a cause and Akyat para sa West Philippine Sea as we opened the Manabong Viewpoint overlooking the majestic Batad Rice Terraces.

It was a powerful reminder of why we serve, that is, to walk with our people, honor our heritage, and help open new doors for Banaue’s future. Humbled to take part in this journey, knowing that true service is felt not in titles, but in showing up for our people and culture, and helping strengthen Banaue’s path toward heritage‑driven tourism.

Congratulations to the barangay officials of Batad and the entire Batad community for a successful Iwang Ad Batad 2026.

P.S. Promoting this newly opened trekking route for the following reasons:

✅ A sunrise deck in the sky
✅ A panoramic view of Batad Rice Terraces
✅ A glimpse of Cambulo’s timeless charm
✅ A trek that blends adventure, culture, and community

Manabong Viewpoint isn’t just a destination but a story worth climbing for.

Till next year's Iwang ad Batad!

Educating the younger generation is essential to preserving the culture and traditions of Banaue. The knowledge of our ancestors must be passed on with intention, ensuring that our youth understand its value and take an active role in sustaining it. Cultural preservation requires participation, and that means an ongoing commitment from the next generation to uphold and continue our shared heritage.

May 30, 2026: Celebrating the Iwang ad Batad with Gov. Jerry Dalipog and LNB President Roger Kindipan. A powerful reminder that our heritage is alive, our lineage is our strength, and our culture remains our compass. The Vice Mayor delivered a message stressing that restoring our heritage (Batad Rice Terraces) is not just a theme, but a duty we inherit and must pass on.

Public service is measured by the miles we walk alongside the people, not the miles we sit above them.

For twice this month, Vice Mayor Atty. Kendall Pung-ao T. Immoliap visited barangay P**a, staying true to his commitment to bringing public service closer to the community. He served as the resource speaker for the topics Katarungang Pambarangay System and Barangay Tanod Duties and Functions.

Through this activity, the Vice Mayor hopes to strengthen the Barangay’s capacity to settle minor disputes and maintain peace and harmony within the community.

He also shared that the people of Barangay P**a, and anyone who may have additional questions, are always welcome to visit his office for guidance and assistance.
