Maligayang Ika-127 Araw ng Kalayaan!

Sa temang "Kalayaan, Kinabukasan, Kasaysayan," muling isinabuhay ng sambayanang Pilipino ang diwa ng kasarinlan, ang pamana ng ating mga bayani, at ang kanilang pangarap para sa mas maliwanag na kinabukasan.

Kaisa ang DILG Rehiyon Dos sa paggunita at pagbibigay pugay sa mga bayaning Pilipino na patuloy na nagsisilbing inspirasyon ng matino, mahusay at maaasahang paglilingkod sa bayan.

ALAM N’YO BA? | Panunumpa sa Katungkulan

Alinsunod sa Seksyon 92 ng Local Government Code of 1991, ang lahat ng inihalal at itinakdang mga lokal na opisyal at kawani, sa panimula ng kanilang panunungkulan, ay manunumpa ng naaayon sa iniaatas na porma ng panunumpa ng kanilang tanggapan o prescribed oath or affirmation of office.

Ang sipi ng nasabing panunumpa ng bawat indibiduwal, ay isusumite sa tanggapan ng nakakasakop na Local Chief Executive. Isang sipi naman ng nasabing panunumpa ang isasama sa personal na talaan o individual personal records ng nasabing indibiduwal na nasa pangagalaga ng Sangay Pantauhan o personnel office ng kinauukulang unit ng pamahalaang lokal.

READ | DILG to LGUs: Intensify energy-saving initiatives in gov’t sector

In support of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s call to promote energy efficiency in the public sector, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has urged local government units (LGUs) to intensify energy conservation efforts by implementing the Government Energy Management Program (GEMP), in line with Republic Act No. 11285 or the Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EEC) Act.

GEMP is a government-wide initiative aimed at reducing electricity and fuel consumption in all government agencies through efficient use of energy resources, including electricity-saving measures and fuel efficiency in the operation of government vehicles.

In Memorandum Circular 2025-515, the DILG directed LGUs to craft a Local EEC Plan that outlines specific conservation strategies, target cost reductions, and motor vehicle inventories. LGUs, except barangays, are also enjoined to establish an EEC Office within their planning and development units, funded under their general appropriations.

Local chief executives are likewise enjoined to issue an executive order or memorandum formalizing EEC protocols in government buildings and facilities.
