The MDRRMO Balilihan, in partnership with the Philippine Red Cross – Bohol Chapter, successfully conducted a Hands-Only CPR Training for selected high school students from Cong. Pablo Malasarte National High School, Hanopol National High School, and San Roque National High School.

Through this initiative, we equip our youth with the knowledge and confidence to act, respond, and save a life when every second counts.

🔥 FIRE DRILL AT BALILIHAN PUBLIC MARKET

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Balilihan Fire Station conducted a Fire Drill and Fire Safety Orientation for the vendors and business owners of the Balilihan Public Market today, August 27, 2026.

The activity aimed to strengthen the participants’ awareness and preparedness in preventing and responding to fire emergencies, including proper evacuation procedures, fire safety practices, and the appropriate use of fire extinguishers.

The activity was also participated in by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Balilihan, emphasizing the importance of coordination and preparedness among market stakeholders and the community.

Through continuous fire safety education and emergency preparedness activities, we help build a safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready community.

Fire prevention is everyone’s responsibility. Stay alert, stay prepared, and stay safe!

EMPOWERING THE YOUTH WITH LIFE-SAVING SKILLS

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Balilihan successfully conducted a Hands-Only Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Orientation Training for the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Barangay Tagustusan on August 22, 2026, at the Anselmo Bugahod Covered Court, Barangay Tagustusan, Balilihan, Bohol.

The activity was conducted in response to the request of the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Tagustusan, in partnership with the Local Youth Development Council (LYDC) and the Barangay Council, as part of the Linggo ng Kabataan 2026 celebration.

Through this orientation, the youth participants were introduced to essential knowledge and practical skills in performing Hands-Only CPR, empowering them to respond appropriately during cardiac emergencies and potentially save a life while awaiting professional medical assistance.

The MDRRMO recognizes the important role of the youth in building safer, prepared, and resilient communities. By equipping young leaders with life-saving skills, we continue to strengthen a culture of preparedness, volunteerism, and community service.

Our sincere appreciation to the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Tagustusan, LYDC, and the Barangay Council for their initiative and commitment to empowering the youth through meaningful and life-saving activities.
