Light to moderate rains are expected over (Tanay, Antipolo, Rodriguez), (Santa Maria, Siniloan, Famy, Pangil, Pakil, Paete, Mabitac, Kalayaan, Lumban, Cavinti) and Bulacan (Dona Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray).

Light to moderate rains affecting (Burdeos, Polillo, Panukulan, Patnanungan, General Nakar, Infanta, Jomalig) and may affect nearby areas.

The public and the Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices concerned are advised to MONITOR the weather condition and watch for the next warning to be issued at 2:00 AM tomorrow.

Heavy rainfall outlook due to Low Pressure Area (LPA)

Quezon, Marinduque, Camarines Norte, and Camarines Sur

Forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas. Moreover, impacts in some areas may be worsened by significant antecedent rainfall.

The public disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. PAGASA Regional Services Divisions may issue Heavy Rainfall Warnings/Thunderstorm Advisories, and other severe weather information specific to their areas of responsibility as appropriate.

Unless significant changes occur, the next Weather Advisory will be issued at 11:00 AM today.

𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: The key difference between a 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 and a 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 lies in their forecast period, coverage areas, and accuracy. A 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 provides forecasts for the next three hours and applies up to the municipal level. It is more precise as it utilizes Doppler radar technology to track real-time rainfall intensity, making it highly effective for immediate decision-making in flood-prone areas. A 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲, on the other hand, covers a 24-hour period but is issued only at the provincial level. It provides a broader outlook on potential weather disturbances but lacks the short-term accuracy of 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐲 𝐑𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬. Since a 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 is based on a 24-hour outlook, it should not be used as a basis for class suspensions or other official decisions.

PUBLIC ADVISORY

Due to the continuous destruction of Tropical Storm in our country and according to the Tropical Cyclone Bulletin #12 of DOST-PAGASA, the Province of Batangas is still in the Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1, face-to-face classes in public and private schools in ALL LEVELS in the municipality of Balete are hereby SUSPENDED and shift to Modular Distance Learning (MDL), tomorrow, October 24,2024, Thursday.

TINGNAN: Muling nagsagawa ang Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management CALABARZON sa pangunguna ng Office of Civil Defense CALABARZON ng Virtual EOC Updating Session patungkol sa kasalukuyang sitwasyon ng Bulkan ng Taal ngayong araw, 09 Oktubre 2024, via video teleconference.

Regular na isinasagawa ang updating session upang alamin ang kasalukuyang aktibidad ng bulkan at alamin ang kalagayan ng mga lokal na pamahalaan na malapit sa bulkan kasama ang PHIVOLCS, RDRRMC Response Cluster at Local DRRM Officers.

Sa pagbabahagi kanina ni Mr. Jerome De Lima, Taal Volcano Observatory Resident Volcanologist, ay nilinaw niya na hindi dapat pangambahan ang mga magkakasunod na steam-driven phreatic eruption o ang mga nakaraang minor phreatomagmatic eruption ng bulkan sapagkat normal lamang na maaaring maranasan ito sa kasalukuyang Alert Level 1. Ang nalilikom naman nitong volcanic gas o smog na bumabalot sa paligid ng Taal Lake at Taal Caldera Region ay kinakailangan namang bantayan dahil maaaring makaapekto ito sa mga residenteng nakatira sa paligid ng bulkan.

Paalala naman ng RDRRMC sa publiko na ang Taal Volcano ay isang aktibong bulkan at hindi dapat alisin ang posibilidad ng pagputok nito kung kaya nararapat lamang na manatiling alerto at paigtingin ang kahandaan ng bawat isa sa lahat ng oras.

Nananatili pa ring nakataas sa Blue Alert Status ang RDRRMC Emergency Operations Center bilang pagsubaybay sa mga aktibidad ng Bulkang Taal na kasalukuyang nasa Alert Level 1.
