Emilia L. Malabanan IS Celebrates Reading Month Success!

Emilia L. Malabanan Integrated School proudly concludes this year’s Reading Month with a heart full of gratitude and joy. From the colorful Book Parade to the creative contests and storytelling moments, our learners showed the vibrant spirit of imagination and discovery that reading inspires.

Our heartfelt thanks to our School Principal, Dr. Meliza Liwanag Altamirano who has been unwavering in support and guidance throughout the celebration. We also extend our gratitude to our dedicated teachers for being a partners of the event's coordinators to prepare meaningful activities for our learners, our supportive parents for encouraging their children, and our wonderful students whose energy and enthusiasm brought every event to life.

Together, we turned stories into experiences, characters into companions, and reading into a celebration worth remembering. Here’s to nurturing more young readers in the years ahead!

Empowering and Protecting Our Learners

As part of the National Children's Month Celebration, yesterday, November 27,2025, through the SELG and SSLG, our students engaged in meaningful discussions on OSAEC–CSAEM prevention and the importance of Mental Health and Well-being.

Through open conversations and shared learning, we continue to equip our young Emilians to become safe online, informed, and emotionally resilient in navigating the challenges of the digital and the real world.

Together, we build a community that is responsible, healthy, and protected.

2025 Reading Month Celebration: “Reading: A Gateway to Discovery” ✨

In line with Division Memorandum No. 657, s. 2025, our school is excited to celebrate National Reading Month 2025 with a series of fun and meaningful activities that aim to inspire our learners to explore the world of books!

Activities Schedule:

Poster-Making Contest – November 24, 2025
Storytelling Competition – November 26, 2025 at 8:00 AM
Book Character Parade – November 28, 2025 at 7:00 AM

Students will parade from the school grounds to Sampalocan Basketball Court dressed as their favorite book characters. We encourage the use of recycled and cost-effective materials for costumes.

Book Donation Drive – Students are encouraged to bring books to stock their classroom reading corners. We also warmly invite parents and stakeholders to donate books for our learners.

Culminating Activity – November 28, 2025 at 8:00 AM, right after the Book Character Parade. We invite all parents and stakeholders to join us in this short but meaningful celebration!

Let’s come together to celebrate the joy of reading and inspire our learners to discover new worlds, ideas, and possibilities through books!

This National Children’s Month, we are reminded that every child deserves to grow up safe, protected, and empowered. Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC-CSAEM) is a serious threat, but together, we can raise awareness and take action to prevent it.

Let us commit to listening to children, respecting their rights, and creating safe spaces both online and offline where they can learn, play, and dream without fear. Every child’s voice matters and every child’s safety is important.

This month, let’s stand united, educate ourselves and others, and actively work to eliminate abuse and exploitation. Their safety is our responsibility, and their future depends on our courage to act. 💙
