🌴🍄 DTI-AURORA Trade Exhibit at the International Mushroom Congress and National Forum on the Future of Mushrooms 🍄🌴

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI)-Aurora, through the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP), successfully conducted a two-day trade exhibit from May 28–29, 2026, at AMCO Beach Resort, Brgy. Sabang, Baler, Aurora. The activity was implemented through sustained and strengthened collaboration with the Aurora State College of Technology (ASCOT).

The trade exhibit was spearheaded by Ms. Florelyn Caniete, TIDS-CARP; Ms. Elaine Bernabe, CFIDP Technical Staff; and Ms. Mary Rose Gonzales, Business Counselor of Negosyo Center Dipaculao. On behalf of Provincial Director Aldrin M. Veneracion, Ms. Caniete also delivered the welcome message during the event.

A total of 16 CFIDP beneficiaries and micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) participated as exhibitors, presenting a diverse range of locally produced coconut-based and agricultural products. Of the 16 exhibitors, 5 are also Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) beneficiaries, underscoring the continued support extended to both coconut farmers and agrarian reform beneficiaries through market promotion initiatives. The activity provided enhanced market exposure and promotional opportunities while enabling exhibitors to establish connections with local and international participants, researchers, academicians, and prospective buyers attending the Congress.

By creating platforms where local enterprises can directly engage with industry experts, innovators, and wider markets, DTI-Aurora continues to empower MSMEs to become more competitive and resilient. The initiative also highlights the province’s commitment to advancing sustainable coconut and agri-based industries while opening new pathways for collaboration, innovation, and inclusive economic growth in Aurora. 🌱✨

𝐃𝐓𝐈 𝐀𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐚 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐌𝐒𝐌𝐄𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐇𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬-𝐎𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫

Day 2 of the “Digital Empowerment for MSMEs: Growing Your Business Online (Digital Payments & Hands-on Workshops)” concluded successfully on May 27, 2026 at the Conference Room, DTI Aurora Provincial Office, Baler, Aurora, with 25 MSMEs actively participating in another day of practical digital learning and collaboration.

Led by Business Counselor Czerlyn Joanne J. Marzan of Negosyo Center Provincial Office, the training focused on helping MSMEs strengthen their online presence through hands-on and one-on-one guidance. PD Aldrin M. Veneracion formally opened the second day of the activity with an inspiring message encouraging Aurora MSMEs to support one another, grow together, and help DTI reach more aspiring and existing entrepreneurs across the province.

Throughout the session, participants learned practical digital skills including Facebook Automation, Content Creation, and Google Business Account creation and Google Mapping to improve their online visibility and customer reach. Cyber hygiene and online safety were also discussed to help MSMEs become more responsible and secure digital entrepreneurs.

What made the training meaningful for many participants was its practical and personalized approach. The one-on-one assistance ensured that no MSME was left behind, allowing participants to immediately apply what they learned and produce visible outputs during the workshop itself. Many MSMEs expressed their gratitude for the valuable learnings, sharing how the activity boosted their confidence in using digital tools to grow their businesses in today’s competitive online marketplace. 🚀💻

Local MSMEs took a step closer toward digital transformation as DTI Aurora successfully conducted Day 1 of the seminar, “Digital Empowerment for MSMEs: Getting Your Business Online – Digital Marketing Basics for MSMEs,” on May 26, 2026 at the Conference Room, DTI Aurora Provincial Office, Baler, Aurora.

The activity, led by Business Counselor Aileen C. Toledo of Negosyo Center San Luis in collaboration with DICT Aurora, gathered 25 MSMEs eager to learn how digital tools can help grow their businesses. Ms. Roma V. Herminigildo of DICT Aurora served as the Resource Speaker and shared valuable insights on digital marketing and online business strategies.

The seminar formally opened with welcome remarks from STIDS Zarah N. Tangson on behalf of Provincial Director Aldrin M. Veneracion, while DICT Provincial Head Engr. Ravenal De Jesus inspired participants with a message encouraging MSMEs to embrace innovation and maximize technology for business growth.

Throughout the activity, participants explored practical ways to strengthen their online presence by creating business pages and discovering how AI tools like Gemini and ChatGPT can assist in content creation, online promotion, and customer engagement. More than just a learning session, the seminar empowered local entrepreneurs with new knowledge and confidence to adapt and thrive in today’s fast-changing digital marketplace. 🚀💻

May 20,2026 l Department of Trade and Industry – Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (DTI-CARP) Aurora, in partnership with the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Aurora, delivered a Basic Packaging and Labeling Seminar cm Product Cliniquing for the members of Bagong Sigla Bagong Pag-Asa Agrarian Reform Cooperative at Brgy. Suguit, Maria Aurora, Aurora.

The seminar aimed to enhance the participants’ knowledge and understanding on proper packaging and labeling to improve product presentation and marketability. During the activity, participants were provided with product cliniquing and recommendations to further improve the quality and competitiveness of their products.
