Coast Guard Station Aurora The Coast Guard Station Aurora is the third Station of Coast Guard District North Eastern Luzon.

Its area of responsibility covers the entire provinces of Aurora, extends to Nueva Ecija and the Philippine Rise.

The activity underscored the Station’s unity and support for this meaningful national observance, while reaffirming its commitment to strengthening maritime awareness and upholding a rules-based international maritime order.

Please be informed that a correction is hereby issued to the previously disseminated Notice to Mariners (CGSAU-0826-005) regarding the scheduled launch of the Long March 5 rocket from the Wenchang Space Launch Site, Wenchang, Hainan, People’s Republic of China.

The People's Republic of China is scheduled to launch the Long March 5 rocket from the Wenchang Space Launch Site in Wenchang, Hainan, between 8:24 AM - 9:37 AM PhST on 25 August 2026 (Tuesday). Parts of the Long March 5 rocket are expected to drop within the identified drop zones (DZ).

Moreover, the estimated coordinates of the identified Drop Zones are as follows:

DZ 1 – Approximately 66 NM away from Vigan, Ilocos Sur; 67 NM away from Burgos, Ilocos Norte; and 102 NM away from Dalupiri Island, Cagayan.
DZ 2 – Approximately 119 NM away from Palanan, Isabela; and 149 NM away from Santa Ana, Cagayan.

All mariners operating within the area of responsibility are strongly advised to take extra precautionary measures and carry out appropriate safety actions when navigating near or within the identified Drop Zones before or during the rocket launch window.

Any possible sightings or unusual observations are requested to be immediately reported to this Station or to the nearest Coast Guard Sub-Station.

Moreover, the estimated coordinates of the identified Drop Zones are as follows:
DZ 1 β€” Approximately 67 NM away from Burgos, Ilocos Norte, 89 NM away from Vigan, Ilocos Sur, and 97 NM away from Dalupiri Island, Cagayan
DZ 2 β€” 148 NM away from Santa Ana, Cagayan, and 169 NM away from Babuyan Island
Both drop zones are within the Philippine Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
