As we conclude another successful summer sports clinic, the Balbalan Sports Club, organized by the LGU Balbalan Sports Enthusiasts—Jake, Evajoy, Jephanse, and Nonoy—under the guidance of Mayor Almar, Mam Yolanda, Mam Caroline, and Ulang, would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all who made this event possible.

Firstly, we are deeply thankful to the LGU Balbalan family for their unwavering support and for providing the Balbalan Municipal Gymnasium as our venue free of charge. Your commitment to fostering a healthy and active community is truly commendable.

To the parents, your dedication and support in encouraging your children to participate and develop their skills have been invaluable. Your belief in their potential has not gone unnoticed and is a significant part of their success.

To the children, your enthusiasm, hard work, and willingness to learn have made this summer clinic a memorable experience. We are proud of your efforts and the progress you have made. Remember, the skills and values you have gained here will serve you well in all aspects of life.

BALBALAN REPRESENTS THE PROVINCE OF KALINGA ON THE NATIONAL STAGE!

The Local Government Unit of Balbalan, under the leadership of Mayor Almar Malannag and Vice Mayor Regina Munda Cruz, expresses its immense and overwhelming pride as one of Balbalan’s very own son rises to represent the entire Province of Kalinga on a grand national platform.

This milestone is a resounding testament that Balbalan can conquer every stage — not merely within its boundaries, but far beyond. Our municipality continues to prove that its people carry the strength, talent, and character worthy of the biggest arenas in the nation.

Mr. Fritz Myer Baligod Beyag, a proud son of Balbalan, has been officially named the representative of the Province of Kalinga in the much-anticipated Mr. Sphere Philippines 2026 pageant, scheduled from June 4 to 8, 2026.

Mr. Beyag will bear the pride, culture, and identity of our province in the inaugural staging of Mr. Sphere Philippines — a prestigious national competition dedicated to developing well-rounded Filipino gentlemen who embody leadership, cultural awareness, innovation, and social responsibility.

Central to this competition are its core advocacies, particularly in sustainable tourism and cultural preservation — values that deeply resonate with the spirit of Balbalan and the Kalinga people. The pageant champions responsible tourism practices that uphold local economies, protect the environment, and safeguard the Philippines’ rich and diverse cultural heritage, including indigenous traditions and craftsmanship.
