𝓛𝓞𝓞𝓚: The Nursing Service Sub-Unit (NSSU) Fleet, in partnership with the Medical Station (MEDS) Fleet, successfully conducted the 𝐇𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐬 𝐁 𝐕𝐚𝐜𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐭 on 28 May 2026, benefiting a total of Fifty-Six (56) personnel of Fleet Education Training and Doctrine Development Institute (FETDDI) at Balagtas, Bulacan.

The activity forms part of the unit’s intensified campaign in safeguarding the health and welfare of personnel through proactive preventive healthcare measures. With discipline, teamwork, and professionalism, the joint medical team ensured the smooth and orderly administration of vaccines, reinforcing the importance of immunization as a vital defense against communicable diseases.

In line with the vaccination rollout, the NSSU Fleet and MEDS Fleet also conducted Troops Information and Education (TI&E) on 𝐇𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐬 𝐁 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 to further enhance awareness among personnel. Discussions highlighted the nature of Hepatitis B, its modes of transmission, signs and symptoms, preventive practices, and the critical role of vaccination in mission readiness and force protection.

The successful conduct of the activity reflects the steadfast dedication of the Nursing Service Sub-Unit Fleet and Medical Station Fleet in upholding the highest standards of military healthcare service, ensuring that personnel remain physically fit, medically protected, and always ready to perform their duties in service to the nation.

The Coast Guard Nursing Service Sub-Unit Fleet (NSSU-FLEET), led by 𝘾𝘿𝙍 𝙍𝘼𝙈𝙐𝙎 𝘼. 𝘼𝙇𝙑𝘼𝙍𝙀𝙕 𝙋𝘾𝙂, attended as invited guests during the Consecutive Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Philippine Coast Guard, Bell-Kenz Pharma Inc., and Global Comfort Group (GCG) Corporation held aboard 𝘽𝙍𝙋 𝙂𝙖𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙖 𝙎𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙜 (𝙊𝙋𝙑-8301), 𝘾𝙤𝙖𝙨𝙩 𝙂𝙪𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙁𝙡𝙚𝙚𝙩, 𝙎𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙗𝙤𝙧 𝙋𝙞𝙚𝙧, 𝙋𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝘼𝙧𝙚𝙖, 𝙈𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙡𝙖 on 28 May 2026

The event highlighted the strengthening of partnership and collaboration among participating organizations in support of healthcare initiatives, wellness programs, and public service efforts for the benefit of PCG personnel and stakeholders.

The presence of NSSU-FLEET in the said activity reflects its support for collaborative engagements that promote quality healthcare, institutional cooperation, and service to the nation.

The Nursing Service Sub-Unit (NSSU) Fleet, successfully conducted the Basic Life Support (BLS) and Standard First Aid (SFA) Training for the students of the 𝘼𝙙𝙫𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙎𝙚𝙖𝙢𝙖𝙣𝙨𝙝𝙞𝙥 𝙎𝙖𝙛𝙚𝙩𝙮 𝙋𝙖𝙘𝙠𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 (𝘼𝙎𝙎𝙋𝘾) Classes 53, 54, and 55 (CY 2026), held on 20–24 April 2026 at the Fleet Education, Training and Doctrine Development Institute (FETDDI).

The training equipped the trainees with essential knowledge and practical skills necessary to effectively respond to medical emergencies, thereby enhancing their capability to deliver timely and life-saving interventions in support of maritime operations.

In pursuit of operational readiness and excellence in lifesaving, the Nursing Service Sub-unit Fleet under the directive of Coast Guard Nursing Service marks a significant accomplishment with the successful training of 372 BLS and First Aid providers from various PCG districts, stations, and substations currently undergoing specialization courses at FETDDI. This achievement reinforces NSSU Fleet’s critical role in force readiness, ensuring that Coast Guard personnel are trained, capable, and prepared to execute life-saving measures in the line of duty, anytime and under any condition.

The Nursing Service Sub-Unit (NSSU) Fleet, facilitated by 𝙇𝙏𝙅𝙂 𝘾𝙃𝙀𝙎𝙏𝙀𝙍 𝙍𝙀𝙐𝙀𝙇 𝙎 𝙇𝙊𝙌𝙐𝙄𝘼𝙎 𝙋𝘾𝙂 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙀𝙉𝙎 𝙎𝙊𝙊 𝙅𝙄𝙉 𝙋 𝙋𝙐𝙉𝘿𝙊 𝙋𝘾𝙂 successfully conducted the Basic Life Support (BLS) and Standard First Aid (SFA) Training for the 𝙈𝙖𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙮 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙣 𝙍𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨𝙚 (𝙈𝙆𝙍𝙖𝙏𝘾), as part of the Program of Instruction (POI), on 13–17 April 2026 at the Fleet Education, Training and Doctrine Development Institute (FETDDI).

The activity was attended by personnel currently undergoing specialization courses. It provided participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in managing medical emergencies, thereby enhancing their competence and readiness in delivering life-saving interventions.

The training likewise included the renewal of BLS certification for Nursing Service Sub-Unit (NSSU) Fleet personnel and Medical Station (MEDS) Fleet personnel, ensuring continued compliance with established standards in emergency care.

This initiative is aligned with the iCARE Program of the Philippine Coast Guard, upholding the values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence in service, and reinforcing the organization’s commitment to the preservation of life.
