๐๐๐๐: On 27 May 2026, the Station Commander of Coast Guard Station Southwestern Palawan (CGS SWP) convened a coordination meeting with boat owners and key maritime stakeholders to address matters on maritime safety, security, and strict compliance with existing maritime laws and regulations within the municipality.
The activity highlighted the importance of strengthened coordination and collective responsibility among stakeholders, with emphasis on proper vessel documentation, adherence to safety protocols, observance of authorized loading capacity, and compliance with weather advisories prior to any sea voyage.
Participants were likewise encouraged to remain vigilant at all times and to promptly report any suspicious activities or maritime incidents to the nearest Coast Guard unit to ensure immediate response and assistance.
Moreover, the Coast Guard underscored the vital role of unity and cooperation among boat operators, fisherfolk, and the maritime community in maintaining safe, secure, and orderly maritime operations within the area of responsibility.
