The activity highlighted the importance of strengthened coordination and collective responsibility among stakeholders, with emphasis on proper vessel documentation, adherence to safety protocols, observance of authorized loading capacity, and compliance with weather advisories prior to any sea voyage.

Participants were likewise encouraged to remain vigilant at all times and to promptly report any suspicious activities or maritime incidents to the nearest Coast Guard unit to ensure immediate response and assistance.

Moreover, the Coast Guard underscored the vital role of unity and cooperation among boat operators, fisherfolk, and the maritime community in maintaining safe, secure, and orderly maritime operations within the area of responsibility.

๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐Š : On 22 May 2026, personnel of Coast Guard Station South Western Palawan (CGS SWP) actively participated in a Tree Planting Activity conducted at the Dump Site in Barangay Catagupan, Balabac, Palawan, as part of the continuing efforts to promote environmental protection and sustainability within the community.

The activity was conducted in coordination with the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO) Balabac together with the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Balabac, Marine Environmental Protection Enforcement and Response Unit (MEPERU)-Balabac, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), Lighthouse Keeper, and residents of Balabac, Palawan.

During the activity, a total of 350 Narra tree seedlings and 20 Mahogany tree seedlings were successfully planted in the designated area. The initiative aimed to strengthen environmental awareness, enhance ecological preservation, and encourage community participation in safeguarding the environment through tree planting activities.

The collaborative effort highlighted the commitment of participating agencies and local residents toward maintaining a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable environment for future generations.
