As of 8:00 AM today, 06 August 2026, Tropical Storm "MAYMAY" (International Name "KUJIRA") has weakened and downgraded into Tropical Depression, and is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

Meanwhile, the Typhoon with international name "DOLPHIN" is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.

PUBLIC ADVISORY

Through Memorandum No. 09, s. 2026, all tourism activities, including trekking and hiking, are temporarily suspended. Small-scale mining operations are likewise suspended, and a liquor ban is hereby imposed until further notice due to the continuous heavy rainfall brought by the tropical storm.

The public is urged to strictly comply with these precautionary measures, monitor official LGU advisories for updates, and prioritize safety at all times.

Due to the continuous heavy rainfall brought by the tropical storm, the suspension of face-to-face classes at all levels on August 6, 2026 (Thursday), is hereby extended pursuant to Executive Order No. 53, s. 2026.

Learners are encouraged to continue with home-based learning, while teachers and non-teaching personnel shall report for work, subject to safe travel conditions.
Please monitor official LGU, DepEd, and school announcements for updates, and continue to observe all safety precautions.
