🌺 A Dewey Island Barangay (Lo-oc) Successful Rice Ayuda For All The Affected Families of Typhoon Odette 🌺
It wasn't an easy task, there were lapses, as nothing is perfect when it comes to a community event as crucial as giving out rice to people. Despite all the little distractions and uncontrollable circumstances, the rice subsidy distribution of Barangay Looc last Dec 26, 2021 was a success. Out of the total targeted number of families to benefit from the subsidy, 80% of it was able to claim theirs, as the rest of the 20% who weren't there, will still be able to get their rice sacks at Bais City evacuation center at the DSWD office. ( This is as per DSWD's instruction and mandate to direct non-claimants to their office). We were all happy with the end result, and that we wish for a better and a smoother distribution for future subsidies to our respected Barangay. We thank the DSWD personnel for the efforts they've exerted to cater everybody, for the traffic officers who made it possible for the rice carriers to reach our designated vehicles, for the volunteers who helped in loading and unloading the sacks of rice from one vehicle to another. We are also thankful for our tanods and barangay workers who assisted in the distribution of rice, for the Punong Barangay's extended effort in lending us his personal truck for carrying the rice sacks to our venue (covered court), thank you Hon. Diosdado E. Villafuerte. Thank you as well to Hon. Joshua Adaza and Hon. Ignacio Garzon's active participation in monitoring and transferring the rest of the rice loads, they waited for long hours under the intense heat of the sun. To the drivers who were there, to all the people that made this small but important event to successfully occur, and to all members of the Council who truly served the people.
