Your New Favorite Library Spot: The "Relax Ka Muna" Wellness Corner

Midterm stress getting to you? The Library, under the initiative of NSTP BSN Sections 7 & 8 (A.Y. 2025โ€“2026), presents the Wellness Corner as part of Octoberโ€™s Mental Health Month celebrations!
Under the project "Relax Ka Muna: Pause and Play for Relaxation and Connection Through Recreational Activities," this area features donated chess sets, crossword puzzles, origami paper, and a cabinet full of board games.

Pictured are students actively engaging in the space, showcasing completed origami creations, solved puzzles, and other fun activities alongside the fully set-up Wellness Corner.

Advancing SDG 3 (Good Health & Well-Being), SDG 4 (Quality Education), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), the space encourages mindful breaks and peer connection.

Cultivating Minds in Full Bloom: 197 Book Titles Turned Over to Tuba, Benguet!

As part of our commitment to accessible information and lifelong learning, the PCC Library and Information Services (LIS), under its collaborative "Passing the Pages" program with the Community Extension Services (CES), Alumni, and General Education (GenEd) Department, proudly turned over 197 book titles to a local private business garden in Tuba, Benguet.

This unique community space, lovingly nurtured by its owner, doubles as a sanctuary for neighborhood children who gather with a shared eager desire to learn and read.

Libraries are not defined by walls, but by how knowledge flows into the hearts of communities. By equipping local sanctuaries and private community partners with diverse reading materials, this turnover directly supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

โ€ข SDG 4: Quality Education โ€“ Ensuring inclusive, equitable access to foundational learning and literacy resources for young readers.
โ€ข SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities โ€“ Bridging the resource gap in rural and highland communities.
โ€ข SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals โ€“ Strengthening collaboration between academic institutions, local businesses, and community stewards.

May these 197 books spark curiosity, inspire dreams, and cultivate a sustainable culture of reading across this blooming community!

Today, these awesome Grade 7 students from one of our CES adopted school dropped by to study and explore. Their energy and excitement for learning were absolutely contagious!
