𝗟𝘂𝗯𝗮, 𝗔𝗯𝗿𝗮— As partners in the implementation of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) in the municipality at the barangay level, a capacity-building activity was held for members of the Barangay Action Team (BAT) from the municipality on 08 October 2026.

The Municipal Operations Office - Luba, in partnership with the Local Government Unit of Luba and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, led the training for 26 participants, who learned the importance of strengthening coordination between the barangay and the 4Ps field team in meeting the goals of the program on health, education, and family development.

Likewise, the activity emphasized the importance of confidentiality, respect for beneficiaries, and proper referral procedures.

The MOO-Luba extends its sincere gratitude to the LGU Luba for providing the funds to support the conduct of the activity. This assistance reflects the LGU’s commitment to strengthening partnerships and supporting the effective implementation of the 4Ps at the barangay level.

𝗕𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗰, 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗲 — In line with the efforts to empower and equip members of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Prorgam (4Ps) in the province, the 4Ps Provincial Operations Office (POO) - Mountain Province led learning sessions on Enhanced Family Development Sessions (FDS) on 06-07 October 2026.

During the activity, 36 Parent Leaders of the different municipalities of Mountain Province learned ways and strategies in strengthening their roles and functions as Parent Leaders while building up their skills in communication, documentation, and facilitation.

"I learned and gained valuable knowledge that will help me become a better and more effective 4Ps Parent Leader," said Jeralyn Licayen, one of the participants during the two-day training.

𝗗𝗦𝗪𝗗 𝗮𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲-𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗿𝗲𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴, 𝗔𝗯𝗿𝗮

DSWD FO CAR through SWAD Abra extended relief and financial assistance to one family or three individuals in Taping, Lagangilang, Abra, following a fire incident on 6 October 2026, that left their house totally damaged.

To help the family meet their immediate needs, DSWD provided five Family Food Packs (FFPs), one each of Hygiene Kit, Sleeping Kit, Family Kit, and Family Tent, and drinking water.

The family also received ₱10,000 in cash assistance through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program to support their recovery and help them begin rebuilding their lives.

The Provincial Local Government Unit of Abra also provided 5 kilograms of rice and food packs to augment the assistance.

With their house lost to the fire, the combined support aims to ease the family’s immediate difficulties and help them move forward toward recovery and rebuilding a safer home.

𝗦𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗿𝗼, 𝗔𝗯𝗿𝗮 | A meaningful milestone for 48 families under the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) from the municipality was celebrated at the Pugay Tagumpay on 06 October 2026.

The ceremony recognized the families who have worked hard toward improving their lives and becoming self-sufficient, with the success of these 48 families reflecting the importance of perseverance and the continued support of the community and partner stakeholders.

The turnover of the case folders of the graduates to the LGU highlighted the event, emphasizing the continuing partnership in providing support and services to families even after their exit from the program.

Further, the LGU San Isidro extended its support to the graduating beneficiaries by providing each of them with a simple grocery items. This gesture reflected
the LGU’s appreciation for the beneficiaries’ perseverance and achievements throughout their journey as 4Ps.

This is how 𝗔𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗲 𝗛. 𝗚𝗮𝗵𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼—the 𝗧𝗼𝗽 𝟴 of the 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙫𝙞𝙘𝙚 𝙀𝙭𝙖𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 – 𝙋𝙚𝙣 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙖𝙥𝙚𝙧 𝙏𝙚𝙨𝙩 - 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 puts it succinctly. Proudly representing the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR), she was able to garner 96.57% rating as one of this year's topnotchers nationwide.

As the Project Development Officer II/ Municipal Link of the DSWD FO CAR Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) - Municipal Operations Office of Mayoyao, Ifugao since 2023 until present, she exemplifies the spirit of excellence and compassion.

𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲-𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗗𝗦𝗪𝗗 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁

Following the structural fire incident in Malama, Conner, Apayao on 6 October 2026, the DSWD FO CAR, through SWAD Apayao, swiftly provided assistance to two affected families or nine individuals, whose homes were affected by the fire, including one totally damaged house.

The families received 10 Family Food Packs (FFPs), two sets each of Sleeping Kits, Family Kits, Kitchen Kits, Hygiene Kits, and laminated sacks, and 10 six-liter bottles of drinking water to help address their immediate needs.

The DSWD also provided ₱20,000 in cash relief assistance to the two affected families to help them cope with the aftermath of the incident.

Meanwhile, the LGU of Conner provided two cavans of rice to further support the affected families.

With one house totally damaged by the fire, the assistance is intended to help the affected families meet their immediate food, water, hygiene, sleeping, and other basic needs while they work through the disruption brought by the incident.

The DSWD FO CAR through SWAD Kalinga, provided immediate relief assistance to 12 families or 18 individuals affected by a fire incident in Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga.

The affected families received 60 Family Food Packs (FFPs), 11 Hygiene Kits, 11 Sleeping Kits, 11 Kitchen Kits, and 33 bottles of drinking water to help address their immediate needs following the incident.

The DSWD also provided ₱65,000 in cash relief assistance to support the affected families as they begin rebuilding and recovering from the loss brought by the fire.

Meanwhile, the Local Government Unit of Tabuk City also extended assistance by providing food items to the affected families and individuals.

Through these combined efforts, the affected families receive immediate support as they take the first steps toward recovery and rebuilding their homes and lives.
