𝐑𝐚𝐧𝐤 𝟓 - 𝐏𝐍𝐏𝐀 𝐒𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐠-𝐏𝐚𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐨𝐦 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔
𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗙𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗱𝗴𝗲
𝐏𝐎𝐋𝐈𝐂𝐄 𝐂𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐓 𝐃𝐀𝐑𝐘𝐋 𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐍 𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐀𝐆, a native of Pitawan, O-ong, Hingyon, Ifugao, is a proud member of the PNPA “SILANG PAGLAOM” Class of 2026. Born to Mr. David Dulnuan Lunag and Mrs. Corazon Calingayan Lunag, he is the fifth child in a family grounded in hard work and perseverance, where life’s challenges became his greatest motivation to rise above his circumstances.
His academic journey reflects unconventional excellence, beginning as an ALS graduate, proving that one’s starting point does not define one’s destination. He continued his studies at Riverview Polytechnic Academic School Incorporated in Kiangan, Ifugao, where he excelled and graduated as Class Valedictorian. Driven by the dream of a better life, he pursued Bachelor of Science in Accountancy at Saint Mary’s University in Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya, where he balanced the demands of academics with the realities of survival. His story is not just about education—it is about determination shaped by hardship and fueled by purpose.
To sustain his studies, PCDT Lunag lived a life of sacrifice, working as a farmer while pursuing his degree—spending long hours cultivating the land, planting tomatoes under the scorching sun to support his education. For him, the soil was more than a source of livelihood; it became the foundation of his dreams and aspirations. Guided by his belief that “POVERTY IS NOT A HINDRANCE TO SUCCESS,” he refused to let financial limitations dictate his future.
His passion for service and desire for discipline eventually led him to take a bold step—leaving behind the fields of Ifugao to pursue a greater calling at the Philippine National Police Academy. Today, he stands as a testament to perseverance, rising from the mountains of Ifugao to the ranks of the Academy, ready to serve the nation with honor and integrity. His journey from farmer to future public safety officer reflects the strength of a man shaped by hardship but driven by hope. No longer just cultivating the land, he now cultivates a future of leadership and service, proving that with hard work, faith, and determination, no dream is ever out of reach. Haggiyo Ifugao!
