Building Stronger Tomorrows: Baguio Friend and Family Lions Club and Irisan ES Champion Child Nutrition
In a heartwarming display of community care and bayanihan spirit, Irisan Elementary School welcomed the Baguio Friend and Family Lions Club, led by founder Engr. Susan Angaga and member Ms. Agustina Mocay, on June 8, 2025, at 8:30 AM. The Lions Club generously provided multivitamin packs and grocery packs to 30 identified learners who were found to be undernourished or at risk of malnutrition based on the school’s latest BMI evaluation. This meaningful initiative aims to address nutritional gaps, strengthen immune systems, and support the overall growth and academic performance of the learners. Moreover, the partnership between the school and the BFF Lions Club aims to support the school programs and projects on Wellness and Welfare of learners. The event was graced by Irisan Barangay Kagawads Mam Esther K. Litilit, Kagawad Carla Cacho, and Kagawad Richard Tamayo, as well as members of Irisan IBERT, who showed unwavering support for the school’s health and nutrition programs.
The distribution activity was made even more special with the hands-on assistance of Irisan Elementary School Principal Sir Jeffrey F. Aliga, School Clinic Coordinator Mam Leonida C. Abuan, and School Project ROSE Coordinator Sir Walter S. Crisostomo. Their dedication and collaboration with the Lions Club highlighted the school’s strong commitment to holistic learner development. Through this initiative, Irisan Elementary School continues to champion the importance of health and nutrition as essential foundations for academic success. The smiles on the children’s faces and the gratitude of their families perfectly captured the essence of the day — a community coming together to nurture and empower its future leaders.
