𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚 𝐆𝐨𝐯'𝐭 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

June 3, 2025 - Fifteen government employees from NGAs, LGUs, and SUCs across the Cordillera Administrative Region participated in the Local Digital Challenge 2025, organized by DICT-CAR. Over a two-hour practical examination, examinees were tested on word processing, spreadsheet calculations, and multimedia presentation skills.

Two challengers each from Abra, Benguet, Ifugao, and Kalinga participated while Apayao and Mountain Province each sent three participants. All exams were conducted simultaneously.

The highest scorer will earn the right to represent CAR in the upcoming National Digital Challenge 2025. This event is part of a nationwide initiative to showcase and strengthen the digital competencies of our government workforce in using computers and ICT tools effectively.

𝐃𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐓𝐀𝐋 𝐉𝐎𝐁𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐀𝐋𝐋 || Twenty-three returned Overseas Worker Filipinos (OFWs) and their dependents are currently participating in the SPARK AI-powered Virtual Assistance 2.0 Course of the DICT-CAR in partnership with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration - CAR. Simultaneously, 20 women are taking the same course via online modality. Both courses are running from June 2-6, 2025.

Throughout the training, the participants will undergo rigourous digital skills training and real life applications, equipping them with practical knowledge and hands-on experience to prepare for online job opportunities and freelance work in the digital economy.

Through these capacity development programs, the DICT continues to expand access to digital job opportunities for various sectors across the region.
