DPWH-Baguio City DEO Immediately Addresses Concern on Asin Bridge 2

The DPWH Baguio City District Engineering Office (BCDEO) has immediately acted on the concern raised regarding the condition of Asin Bridge 2 along Asin Road.

While a permanent repair project is already programmed for implementation beginning September 7, 2026, BCDEO undertook initial repair works ahead of the project commencement to immediately address the observed condition and safeguard the riding public. The interim works included welding of protruding steel components and patching of affected portions using cold mix asphalt.

The permanent solution will be undertaken through the project โ€œRehabilitation/Major Repair of Permanent Bridges โ€“ Asin Bridge 2 (B02075LZ)โ€, with an amount of โ‚ฑ3,920,000.00, scheduled to start on September 7, 2026.

DPWH-BCDEO assures the public that necessary measures are being undertaken to ensure the safety and convenience of motorists and commuters using the bridge.
