Department of Environment and Natural Resource (DENR) Secretary Roy Cimatu, in his message read by DENR-CAR Regional Executive Director Ralph Pablo during the Cordillera Day Celebration on 15 July 2021, enjoined the Cordillera people to work together with the government not only in the pursuit of regional autonomy but also in the protection and preservation of the region's rich biodiversity and natural ecosystems.

LOOK: Baguio City Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong officiated the induction program and oath-taking ceremony of the new officers of the Cordillera Association of Regional Executives - CARE.

In his message, Mayor Magalong emphacized on the need to advocate for genuine leaders. "A genuine leader should possess the following skills: crisis management, organization development, conflict resolution, transparency, and action-oriented […] Amidst this pandemic and crisis, let us continue to advocate for a genuine leader", he added.

Civil Defense Cordillera Regional Director Albert A. Mogol is the new President of the said organization.

On June 19, the Department of Agriculture (DA) Secretary and Cabinet Officer for Regional Development and Security (CORDS) for the Cordillera Dr. William Dar presided over the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (RTF-ELCAC) in a joint meeting with Regional Peace and Order Council (RPOC).
