Light to Moderate to at times Heavy rains are being experienced in , (Echague, Jones, Dinapigue), (Dilasag, Dipaculao, Baler), (Maddela), (DupaxDelSur), , , (Sugpon), (LaoagCity and Pagudpud) which may persist within 2 to 3 hours and may affect nearby areas.

Southwest Monsoon affecting Luzon and Visayas.

A tropical storm Krovanh (2624) {Formerly "Pilandok"} was located at 1,035 Km East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon (25.6Β°N, 130.5Β°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h. It is moving Eastward at 10 km/h.

Abra and Benguet will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to Southwest Monsoon. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to heavy rains. The rest of Cordillera Administrative Region will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to southwest monsoon. Possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to severe thunderstorms.

Light to Moderate winds blowing from the Southwest will prevail over the region.

Herewith is the latest MGB List of Barangays Susceptible to Rain-Induced Landslides and Flooding based on the DOST-PAGASA Rainfall Data GSM (50mm) and WRF (50mm) 120-hour forecast as of September 06, 2026, 8AM for CAR.

For Cordillera Administrative Region, there are 863 barangays listed per province:

ABRA- 190 barangays;
APAYAO - 101 barangays;
BENGUET - 233 barangays;
IFUGAO - 144 barangays;
KALINGA - 108 barangays; and
MOUNTAIN PROVINCE - 87 barangays.

KNOW YOUR RISKS: Through the HazardHunterPH application, you can identify the hazards and assess the risks in your location. The application provides a hazard assessment based on your location, including earthquake hazards.

As part of earthquake preparedness efforts, the general public and various sectors are encouraged to participate in the Third Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.

Through the joint efforts of the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) and Ayala Property Management Corporation (APMC), the ceremonial pressing of the button for the NSED will be held at 1:00 p.m. This will be followed by the nationwide ceremonial pressing of the button at 2:00 p.m., signaling the start of Duck, Cover, and Hold.

Join the earthquake drill to familiarize yourself with proper safety procedures and be better prepared in the event of an earthquake.

KROVANH IS NOW MOVING EAST NORTHEASTWARD OVER THE SEA SOUTH OF JAPAN.

β€’ Location of Center (10:00 AM)
The center of the Tropical Storm KROVANH was estimated based on all available data at 985 km Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) (25.9Β°N, 129.7Β°E).
β€’ Intensity
Maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 80 km/h, and central pressure of 992 hPa.
β€’ Present Movement
East northeastward at 15 km/h
β€’ Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds
Strong to gale-force winds extend outwards up to 450 km from the center

GENERAL OUTLOOK FOR THE FORECAST PERIOD
β€’ KROVANH will move generally eastward to east northeastward within the next 24 hours before turning north northeastward for the remainder of the forecast period.
β€’ KROVANH is forecast to weaken into a tropical depression by tomorrow (07 September) afternoon or evening.
β€’ This weather disturbance is not expected to directly affect the weather and sea conditions in the country. However, in the next 24 hours, the Southwest Monsoon may bring moderate to rough seas over the coastal waters of Batanes and Babuyan Islands while moderate seas over the eastern and western seaboards of Luzon. It will also bring gusty conditions over most of Luzon and Visayas.

Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to continue monitoring for updates related to this tropical cyclone.

Today (September 6) : Monsoon rains due to Habagat will prevail over Occidental Mindoro while occasional rains continue over Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, and Antique. Most parts of Luzon and Western Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to continuous Habagat. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

by Monday until Tuesday (September 7-8) : Habagat will bring occasional rains over Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas, and Occidental Mindoro. Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, CAR, Central Luzon, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Bicol Region will be cloudy with scattered rains and thunderstorms while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

by Wednesday until Friday (September 9-10) : a possible Low Pressure Area may be developed west of Luzon. The potential circulation may influence the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), potentially resulting in enhanced Monsoon rains over the western section of Luzon. With this, monsoon rains will still be experienced over Zamabales, Bataan, and Occidental Mindoro. Occasional rains is still expected over Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Abra, Benguet, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, and Batangas. Western Visayas and the rest of Luzon will be cloudy with scattered rains and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

This weather outlook will be updated if significant changes in the forecast occur through the 24-hour public weather forecasts and weather advisories.
