PSDS Marzo, KUMUSTA to DMMES 💚

August 12,2026 - A meaningful KUMUSTA Visit was conducted by our Public Schools District Supervisor, madam Rosie Beel A. Marzo to personally check on the school personnel, learners, and school facilities following the weeklong suspension of classes.

The visit provided an opportunity to listen, assess the situation, and see firsthand the condition of the school and its facilities after the recent events. More than an inspection, it was a gesture of care, concern, and support for the entire school community.

We are grateful for the presence and guidance of our PSDS as we continue to ensure the safety, well-being, and readiness of our learners and school personnel as classes resume.

FACE-TO-FACE CLASSES SUSPENDED (PRESCHOOL TO GRADE 12)

Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong suspended face-to-face classes from Preschool to Grade 12 tomorrow, Wednesday, August 5 in view of the Orange Rainfall Warning issued by PAGASA.

Schools shall implement the following alternative delivery modes to ensure learning continuity;
a. Modular Distance Learning
b. Online Distance Learning
c. Blended Learning.

Public schools shall implement the appropriate HINAY protocol in accordance with DepEd guidelines to ensure the uninterrupted delivery of learning.

🤝 Strengthening Partnerships, Enhancing School Safety! 🛡️

Don Mariano Marcos Elementary School extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) – Baguio City Council, represented by BOD Tita Merly Bad-ay, for the generous donation of one (1) rechargeable handheld metal detector on July 27, 2026.

This meaningful donation was awarded in recognition of the school's outstanding support and high turnout of Girl Scout membership registration in the Baguio City Council. The equipment was formally received by School Head Alona C. Estigo and will further strengthen the school's safety and security measures, helping provide a more secure and learner-friendly environment for all.

The turnover was formalized through the signing of a Deed of Donation (DOD) and a Certificate of Acknowledgment, symbolizing the strong partnership and shared commitment of the GSP-Baguio City Council and Don Mariano Marcos Elementary School to learner welfare and quality education.

We sincerely thank the Girl Scouts of the Philippines – Baguio City Council for their trust, generosity, and unwavering support. Together, we continue to build a safer, stronger, and more resilient school community where every child can learn with confidence.

DMMES- Baguio City
Learners and school personnel assembled at the designated evacuation area following the Intensity V earthquake in Baguio City on July 9,2026. The school activated its earthquake emergency response procedures, conducted an orderly evacuation, accounted for learners, and maintained supervision while awaiting further instructions and the results of the post-earthquake safety assessment.

Members of Bcpo Aurora Hill also monitored the school just after the incident to ensure everyone's safety.

On June 30, 2026, Don Mariano Marcos Elementary School received a Technical Assistance (TA) visit from Ms. Juliet C. Sannad, EdD, Chief of the Curriculum Implementation Division (CID) of the Schools Division Office.

The Technical Assistance focused on strengthening the school's implementation of key DepEd programs and policies. Among the major areas discussed were the School Safety Program, particularly the intensive campaign on ensuring learners' safety while going to school and going home. Emphasis was given to promoting the proper use of sidewalks and pedestrian lanes as part of the school's road safety advocacy and shared responsibility among learners, parents, teachers, and the community.

Ma'am Sannad also provided guidance on the Learning Systems Policy Guidelines, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that school practices and instructional delivery remain aligned with existing DepEd policies and standards. She shared valuable insights and recommendations to further enhance the school's implementation of learning systems and improve the quality of educational services.

The activity concluded with a productive discussion between the CID Chief and the school head. The school expressed its commitment to implementing the recommendations and continuously strengthening its programs to ensure a safe learning environment and quality education for all learners.

Bawat lumang damit na inyong ipinagkakaloob ay yumayakap sa isang batang nangangailangan. Bawat school supply na inyong ibinabahagi ay nagiging sandata niya sa pag-abot ng kanyang mga pangarap.

Maaaring nakalimutan na ninyo ang halagang taglay ng isang lumang damit o kuwaderno, ngunit para sa isang batang kapos-palad, ito ay paalala na may mga taong naniniwala sa kanyang kinabukasan.

To comply with DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026 on ensuring a safe and motivating learning environment, Don Mariano Marcos ES shall adopt contactless security screening procedures, including the use of handheld metal detectors for learners, personnel, visitors, and stakeholders entering the school premises. This measure aims to prevent the entry of weapons and other prohibited items while upholding learner rights, child protection principles, and privacy standards.

Thank you to Aurora Hill Bcpo station 6 for briefing our security guard on the proper conduct of the screening procedure, giving emphasis on the proper language, and action❤️💪💪
