RCAT-VAWC Cordillera joins the observance of the Safer Internet Day for Children Philippines.

Makiisa sa pagdiriwang ng Safer Internet Day (SID) for Children Philippines ngayong darating na ika-10 ng Pebrero 2026!

Ang SID ay isang internasyunal na pagdiriwang na isinasagawa taun-taon upang isulong ang ligtas at responsableng paggamit ng internet lalo na sa mga kabataan. Mula nang ilunsad ito noong 2004, higit sa 100 na bansa na ang nakiisa sa pagdiriwang ito upang palaganapin ang kamalayan tungkol sa kahalagahan ng digital literacy at online safety. Sa Pilipinas, ang SID ay opisyal na kinikilala ng Proklamasyon Blg. 417 na idinidedeklara ang ikalawang martes ng Pebrero bilang Safer Internet Day para sa mga Batang Pilipino.

Magkaisa tayo upang itaguyod ang online safety sa pamamagitan ng paghihikayat ng responsableng paggamit ng internet at pagtugon sa mga hamon at oportunidad ng digital world para sa mga batang Pilipino.

PRESS RELEASE
Violator of R.A. No. 11930 Nabbed in Butuan City
On January 29, 2026, at about 6:00 AM, in Jabonga, Agusan del Norte, operatives of the Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 13 under the leadership of PCOL LEMUEL B GONDA, Regional Chief of said unit, together with personnel of the Jabonga Municipal Police Station headed by PLT ELLA MAE B BATOBALONOS, Officer-in-Charge, implemented Warrant to Search, Seize, and Examine Computer Data No. CW 2026-01-27-01 in relation to OSAEC (Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children) and CSAEM (Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials) at Purok 4 Barangay Bangonay, Jabonga, Agusan del Norte.

The operation resulted in the arrest of a 22 year old male suspect, alias “Jun,” for a possession of Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials.
"Jun" is facing charges for Violation of the Anti-Online Sexual Abuse or Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Anti-Child Sexual Abuse or Exploitation Materials (CSAEM) Act of R.A. No. 11930.

As part of the Observance of the 18-Day Campaign to End VAW, DOH CAR, incoordination with the RCAT-VAWC, conducted the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) Training on 4Rs (Recognizing, Recording, Reporting and Referring) for Women and Children Protection last November 25-29, 2025 at Ritz Hotel, Legarda, Baguio City.

This was attended by the selected MSWDO, MHO and WCPD from the provinces of Mt. Province and IFUGAO.
