School Principal Jeffrey F. Aliga emphasized the importance of strong partnerships. Hon. Mauricio G. Domogan, Congressman โ€“ Lone District of Baguio City, served as the guest speaker, inspiring participants with his message on unity, โ€œBunga ti panagkaykaysa,โ€ emphasizing that progress is the fruit of collective effort.
The program also acknowledged the generosity of the schoolโ€™s donors, exemplifying the attitude of gratitude for their contributions to improving facilities, infrastructure, and the overall welfare of learners.
Dr. Samuel T. Egsaen Jr., Assistant Schools Division Superintendent, joined the celebration, highlighting and strengthening the schoolโ€™s dedication to teamwork and holistic learner development.

Irisan Elementary School welcomed Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Soraya T. Faculo, together with CID Chief Dr. Juliet Sannad and SGOD Chief Dr. Nino M. Tibangay, during their school visit today, March 18, 2026.

The visit focused on school inspection and providing technical assistance and engaging in meaningful discussions with the school head to better support learners and strengthen quality education.

Through collaboration and shared responsibility, we can continuously improve and uplift the quality of education for every learner.

Demonstrating its commitment to safety and disaster preparedness, Irisan Elementary School actively participated in the 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) 2026 on March 12, 2026, in collaboration with the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 15.

In compliance with the directive of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), the ringing of the school bell at exactly 3:00 p.m. signaled the start of the drill. Even as it was drizzling, learners, teachers, and school personnel promptly executed the standard โ€œDuck, Cover, and Holdโ€ procedure, demonstrating the proper response during earthquake occurrences.

The activity was coordinated by the School DRRM Coordinator, Mrs. Jackie Lou O. Basilio. During the drill, Mrs. Eden Galletes also conducted an attendance check to ensure that all learners were safely accounted for.

Following the simulation, School Principal Mr. Jeffrey F. Aliga facilitated a debriefing session, where he emphasized the significance of preparedness, presence of mind, and cooperation in safeguarding the school community during emergencies.
Through initiatives such as the Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill, Irisan Elementary School continues to foster a culture of preparedness, resilience, and safety among its learners and personnel.

The Joint Closing and Recognition Ceremony of Saranay Tarabay and the Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Program was successfully held on March 9, 2026, at the school grounds, highlighting the significant reading progress and achievements of the learners while recognizing their dedication, perseverance, and active participation throughout the implementation of the initiative.

The meaningful activity was initiated and coordinated by Maโ€™am Trina T. Crisostomo, the School ARAL Coordinator and Project Tarabay Proponent, whose leadership and commitment made the successful conduct of the program possible and ensured that the learnersโ€™ efforts and learning milestones were celebrated and acknowledged.

The activity was supported by School Reading Coordinator Maโ€™am Nora A. Dumawol, with support from School Principal Sir Jeffrey F. Aliga, who delivered the statement of purpose. Inspirational messages from stakeholders, parents, and learners emphasized the importance of collaboration in helping children improve their reading skills.

The school also expressed gratitude to its valued partners: the Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) Station 9, Irisan Womenโ€™s Association, the Cordillera Administrative Region Training Center (CARTC), and Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry for their support.

Certificates were awarded to the learners, including the dedicated tutors and tutees of the ARAL Program. The program concluded with closing remarks from ARAL Coordinator Maโ€™am Trina T. Crisostomo, encouraging learners to continue developing their love for reading.

Irisan Elementary School marked the opening of National Womenโ€™s Month 2026 with the sub-theme โ€œLead like the Babaylans, Filipinas!โ€, highlighting the leadership and strength of women inspired by the wisdom and guidance of the Babaylans in pre-colonial Philippines.

The program was facilitated by Maโ€™am Nora A. Dumawol, who also shared meaningful insights together with GAD Coordinator Maโ€™am Germalyn Mayao, helping learners understand the importance of Womenโ€™s Month and the valuable contributions of women in the community and the nation.

Pride and excellence took center stage as Irisan Elementary School recognized the remarkable achievements of learners who proudly represented the school in various competitions during School Year 2025โ€“2026. The recognition program was held on March 6, 2026.

Led by the Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG), the recognition program celebrated the hard work, dedication, and talents of the young achievers who brought honor to the IES community.

The program opened with inspiring remarks from Master Teacher Hilda S. Padilla, followed by a motivational message from School Principal Sir Jeffrey F. Aliga, encouraging learners to continue striving for excellence.

Maโ€™am Julie Alidao concluded the event with her closing remarks, commending the students for their commitment and perseverance.

Irisan Elementary School recognizes MOOG Baguio Credit Cooperative (MBCC), chaired by Mr. Noel Deslate, for donating โ‚ฑ38,000 worth of construction materials for GPP Phase 3 in Area 3, the designated area of Supreme Elementary Learner Government (SELG).

The project was initiated through the efforts of Mr. Ariel Tagalicud Pasiliao, whose coordination helped bring the partnership into action.

The partnership was initiated in collaboration with Ms. Josie Villanueva, SELG Coordinator, and strongly supported by Principal Sir Jeffrey F. Aliga, reflecting a united commitment to programs that directly benefit learners.
This Gulayan is more than a project. It shows that when hands unite, a once empty space becomes a garden of hope for every learner.
