To equip teachers with advanced technological skills for classroom instruction, the Department of Education - Schools Division Office (DepEd SDO) of Ifugao conducted a Training-Workshop on Advanced ICT for Educational Application for Lamut District teachers on February 10-11, 2025.

The training-workshop provided teachers with hands-on experience in utilizing MS 365, Magic School and various AI-powered tools to streamline lesson planning and instructional material development. Participants explored innovative digital solutions to enhance teaching efficiency and learner engagement in the 21st-century classroom.

Throughout the two-day event, teachers actively engaged in workshops, discussions, and practical applications of AI in education. They learned how to integrate technology into lesson planning, making instruction more interactive, accessible, and data-driven. The Learning Facilitators emphasized the importance of AI-assisted tools in automating repetitive tasks, allowing teachers to focus more on student learning and creative pedagogy.

The initiative aligns with DepEd’s commitment to enhancing digital literacy among educators and ensuring that Ifugao’s schools remain adaptive to the evolving educational landscape. Participants expressed gratitude for the opportunity to upgrade their ICT skills, recognizing the impact of AI tools in saving time, improving efficiency, and personalizing learning experiences.

This HRD-led initiative marks another step toward digital transformation in Ifugao’s education sector, ensuring that teachers are equipped with the necessary technological skills to provide quality education in a rapidly advancing digital world.
