REMEMBERING LORD BADEN-POWELL | 85th DEATH ANNIVERSARY

Today, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Baguio City Council joins the worldwide Scouting movement in remembering Lord Robert Stephenson Smyth Baden-Powell, the founder of Scouting. Eighty-five years after his passing, his ideals of service, character, and leadership continue to guide generations of Scouts.

From his vision grew a movement that empowers young people to serve others, strengthen communities, and live by the Scout Oath and Law. As Scouts of Baguio City, we honor his legacy by remaining committed to our duty—to God, country, and fellowmen—through meaningful service and responsible citizenship.

We remember. We serve. We lead.

In the wake of Typhoon Tino, countless families across the Visayas and Mindanao Regions have been displaced and face dire conditions.

In response, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines National Office, in coordination with the BSP–Eastern and Western Visayas Regions and Local Councils, and initiated by the Ten Outstanding Boy Scouts of the Philippines Association (TOBSPA), is launching the Scouts Bayanihan Drive. 🚍

In the true spirit of Bayanihan, we call upon your compassion and solidarity to provide immediate, critical aid to our affected brothers and sisters. The need for assistance is ongoing, and we continue to accept monetary donations.

𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐎𝐏𝐋𝐀𝐍 𝐊𝐀𝐋𝐔𝐋𝐔𝐖𝐀

[BAGUIO CITY] The Boy Scouts of the Philippines - Baguio City Council successfully served during the Oplan Kaluluwa: Undas 2025, together with the Baguio City Police Office, Cordillera Amateur Radio Services, Inc., Baguio-Benguet Public Information Civic Action Group, Philippine Red Cross - Baguio Chapter, Guardians Baguio, University of the Cordilleras - College of Criminal Justice Education, and other Socio-Civic organizations last November 1, 2025, at the Baguio Public Cemetery and along Naguilan Road.

The Scouts took part in crowd control operations and assisted in managing traffic flow, ensuring public safety, and orderliness with different units and groups during the observance of All Saints Day. This joint effort enabled a safe environment for those visiting their departed loved ones.

[BAGUIO CITY] Members of The Boy and Girl Scouts of the Philippines - Baguio City Council took on the roles of city officials during the Scout Official for a Day event, held last October 13, 2025 at the Baguio City Hall.

The scouts assumed the duties of their counterpart which included creating and passing city ordinances, attending council sessions, and doing their official duties as City Officials for a day.

[BAGUIO CITY] The Boy Scouts of the Philippines - Baguio City Council together with the Girl Scouts of the Philippines - Baguio City Council joins in the celebration of the 2025 National Scouting Month with the theme "Shaping Tomorrow's Leaders."

Scouts from various schools gathered to join the kick-off parade which was held last October 11, 2025. The parade began at the Baguio Convention Center and made its way down to Baguio Athletic Bowl where they held the program.

In line with the RESCHEDULED 89th National Scouting Month Opening Parade by Boy and Girl Scouts of the Philippines - Baguio City, be advised of the following route of the parade on October 11, 2025

PARADE ROUTE:
Starting Point: Baguio Convention and Cultural Center Grounds to Upper Session Road (Casa Vallejo) - Session Road Rotunda -
Whole Stretch of Session Road - Harrison Road - Jose Abad Santos Drive to
End Point: Baguio Athletic Bowl, quickly followed by the Opening Program

All motorists and road users are advised to follow temporary traffic flow by BCPO-TEU or use diversion and/or alternate routes during the whole duration of the parade.

In the wake of the recent M6.9 earthquake in Northern Cebu, we call on everyone to stand in solidarity with our affected Sugbuano communities.

We are in need of volunteers who can lend their time and energy in our relief efforts, as well as in-kind donations such as food, water, hygiene kits, clothing, and blankets to bring comfort and hope to families in need.
