Teaching Internship finally concludes after SY 2025-2026 EOSY Rites

Pre-Service Teachers from different Teacher Education Institutions in the city successfully completed their teaching internship at Pines City National High School - Senior High School from January 19 to April 1, 2026. Guided by the Joint CHED โ€“ DepEd Memorandum No. 1 series of 2021, the immersion provided them with meaningful, real-world classroom experiences that bridged theory and practice within the context of public school system.

The following pre-service teachers included Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) Social Studies majors Bryan Gil Napigue and Sean Ben Oligane, and BSED English majors Alexandra Nicole Padilla, Elaine Pinas, and Alexander Theodore Sison from Saint Louis University. From the University of the Cordilleras were BSED English majors Ashley Vidad and Zheny Kate Wa-ilan. Lastly, from BSBT College was Sharlene W. Tanan, taking up Bachelor of Home Economics major in Food Service and Management.

Throughout their internship, the student-teachers developed stronger pedagogical skills, improved classroom management strategies, and enhanced their ability to design learner-centered lesson plans with the guidance of their respective mentors or cooperating teachers. They also gained valuable insights into diverse student needs, assessment practices, and the importance of initiative and adaptability in teaching.

More importantly, the experiences deepened their sense of professionalism, commitment, and passion for the teaching profession. By engaging directly with learners, they realized that teaching goes beyond content delivery; it involves inspiring, guiding, and shaping studentsโ€™ lives.

โ€œAs an alumnus, I take immense pride and honor in having the opportunity to train and teach alongside my former mentor, whose guidance once shaped me and now inspires me to become an educator in my own right,โ€ Alexander Theodore Sison, former SSLG President of this school, said.

Finally, the schoolโ€™s Head Teacher in-charge, Soledad Copsiyan, concluded, โ€œto our Pre-service Teachers, kudos to all of you! Best of luck with your next journey toward becoming NextGen educators!โ€

Lucban Integrated School proudly hosted the Bagong Pilipinas Job Fair, an initiative designed to provide immediate employment opportunities for graduating students and jobseekers.

The event gathered various companies and institutions, offering career pathways that match the skills and interests of young Filipinos.

A remarkable highlight of the fair was the success of two Senior High School students from Pines City National High School โ€“ EPAS 12, Feliza L. Wadwadan and Vince Andrew L. Fomeg-as. Both were Hired on the Spot (HOTS) by Mang Inasal Baguio Branch, a testament to their preparedness, determination, and capability to enter the workforce.

This achievement reflects the mission of the Bagong Pilipinas Job Fair: to ensure that learners are given developmentally appropriate opportunities that consider their strengths, interests, and experiences.

It also demonstrates the value of collaboration between schools, communities, and partner companies in supporting the transition of students from education to employment.

School officials and organizers expressed pride in Wadwadan and Fomeg-as, noting that their success serves as an inspiration to fellow graduates. Their hiring proves that with perseverance, discipline, and readiness, young Filipinos can confidently step into the professional world.

The Bagong Pilipinas Job Fair at Lucban Integrated School stands as a beacon of hope, showing that opportunities are within reach and that the future of the Filipino youth is indeed bright.

Grade 12 CPAR Art Exhibit Highlights Creativity and Artistic Expression

On March 11, 2026, Pines City National High School โ€“ Senior High School held a vibrant and engaging Art Exhibit featuring the works of Grade 12 students enrolled in Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Regions (CPAR). The exhibit served as the culminating performance task of the students, providing them with the opportunity to showcase their creativity and demonstrate their understanding of the various artistic mediums and techniques explored throughout the course.

As part of the exhibit, students presented a diverse collection of artworks that reflected their application of different CPAR mediums and techniques. Among the works displayed were land art, decoupage, found object art, egg mosaic, and collage. Each piece demonstrated the studentsโ€™ creativity, resourcefulness, and ability to transform ordinary materials into meaningful artistic expressions. Through these works, the students conveyed their ideas, interpretations, and appreciation of contemporary Philippine art.

Students from different Grade 12 sections, including ABM, EPAS, HUMSS, EPADAIT, BPP, ALS 12 and AFA, actively participated in the activity. Throughout the exhibit, each group proudly presented their artworks and explained the inspiration, concept, and creative process behind their pieces to the panel of judges. In addition, the students took an active role in organizing their displays and ensuring that their exhibits clearly communicated the stories and ideas behind their works.

To further recognize the studentsโ€™ efforts, the artworks and presentations were evaluated by three judges who carefully assessed each display based on creativity, craftsmanship, presentation, and interpretation. Through this process, the activity not only highlighted the studentsโ€™ artistic talents but also strengthened their communication, collaboration, and organizational skills as they worked together to present their projects.

The activity was facilitated by CPAR teachers Mrs. Adelaida Marquez, Mrs. Cynthialyn Ambacan and Ms. Thiara Louise Mana-a, who guided and supported the students throughout the preparation of their artworks. The successful conduct of the exhibit was also made possible through the support and encouragement of the Senior High School Head-in-Charge, Mrs. Soledad Copsiyan.

The CPAR Art Exhibit successfully provided a platform for Grade 12 students to present their creativity and showcase the knowledge and skills they developed in the subject. Through their artworks and presentations, the students demonstrated not only their artistic abilities but also their dedication and collaboration in completing their culminating performance task. The exhibit served as a meaningful celebration of their learning in CPAR and highlighted the value of art as a form of expression and appreciation of Philippine culture.

Project 4Pโ€™s: Pagpapaunlad sa Pagbasa at Pagsulat ay Pauswagin

๐Ÿ“ Padre Zamora, Barangay Zamora, Baguio City

๐ŸŒฟMarch 7, 2026

With the approval of Ma'am Soledad E. Copsiyan, under the guidance of our SSLG Adviser, Joemar L. Capinlac, and through the leadership of Mai Angel G. Espada, SSLG President, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government successfully conducted Project 4Pโ€™s: Pagpapaunlad sa Pagbasa at Pagsulat ay Pauswagin as part of its community service initiative.

One of the most meaningful parts of our journey was being able to give back to the community through this project. The activity aimed to help young learners improve their reading and writing skills while encouraging them to develop a love for learning.

Through patience, dedication, and teamwork, the volunteers spent time guiding the children, teaching them basic reading and writing, and supporting them as they practiced and learned new things. Seeing their smiles, curiosity, and eagerness to learn reminded us why education is truly important. Every word they read and every sentence they wrote became a small step toward a brighter future.

This experience was not only beneficial for the children but also for us as volunteers. It taught us the value of service, compassion, and the importance of sharing knowledge with others. Being able to inspire young minds and contribute to their learning journey is something we will always cherish.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the community of Padre Zamora, together with the support of the barangay officials headed by Hon. Joseph Basinga, and to be part of a project that promotes education and growth. This initiative shows that even small acts of kindness and dedication can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

To the children who participated, thank you for your enthusiasm, your smiles, and for reminding us that learning can be joyful and powerful. May you continue to dream big, keep learning, and believe in your abilities.

โœจ Education is the key to a brighter future, and together we can open more doors for the next generation.
