𝗕𝗖-𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗗 𝗦𝗪𝗜𝗠𝗠𝗘𝗥 𝗤𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗜𝗘𝗦 𝗙𝗢𝗥 𝗕𝗔𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗜𝗡𝗢𝗬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

Baguio City SPED Center proudly congratulates 𝙅𝙖𝙞𝙧𝙪𝙨 𝘼𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙨 𝙀. 𝘽𝙤𝙣𝙜𝙤𝙩𝙖𝙣 for successfully qualifying for Batang Pinoy 2026 after an impressive performance during the Batang Pinoy 2026 Swimming Tryouts held on September 6, 2026, at the Baguio City Swimming Pool Complex.

Competing in the 10–11 Years Old Male Category, Jairus emerged 2nd overall in his age bracket and delivered strong performances in five swimming events:

🥇 100m Breaststroke – Gold
🥈 100m Freestyle – Silver
🥈 50m Freestyle – Silver
🥈 50m Breaststroke – Silver
🥉 100m Backstroke – Bronze

His performance earned him a spot among the Baguio City qualifiers for Batang Pinoy 2026 in Bacolod City. His specific events for the national competition are yet to be determined.

The BC-SPED Center family celebrates this achievement and commends Jairus for his discipline, perseverance, and dedication to the sport.

Baguio City SPED Center joins the global community in celebrating World Teachers’ Month, observed from September 5 to October 5. This celebration is a meaningful opportunity to honor the dedication, passion, and sacrifices of teachers who shape the future through education. By participating in this worldwide event, the school recognizes the invaluable role teachers play in nurturing learners, guiding them toward excellence, and inspiring them to become responsible citizens.

Throughout the month-long celebration, the school will highlight the achievements and contributions of its educators, showcasing their commitment not only to academic instruction but also to character formation and community building. Activities will be designed to express gratitude, strengthen collaboration, and foster unity among teachers, learners, parents, and stakeholders. The Baguio City SPED Center proudly congratulates 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐄. 𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐧 for his outstanding performances in recent swimming competitions, bringing pride and honor to our school and community.

Jairus showcased his determination, discipline, and passion for swimming at the 𝐑𝟏, 𝐑𝟑 & 𝐂𝐀𝐑 𝐋𝐞𝐠 𝟐 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞 – 𝐀𝐁𝐂 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 held on August 15–16, 2026, in New Clark City, Capas, Tarlac, where he earned the following medals:

🥇 Gold Medal – 100m Butterfly, Class B
🥈 Silver Medal – 400m Freestyle, Class A
🥈 Silver Medal – 200m Freestyle, Class A
🥉 Bronze Medal – 100m Breaststroke, Class A

Jairus continued to make waves at the 𝟒𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐖𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐬 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥, held on August 21–23, 2026, in Boracay, Aklan, where he proudly captured:

🥇 GOLD MEDAL – 2KM Category

These achievements reflect Jairus' hard work, perseverance, discipline, and commitment to excellence. His accomplishments remind us that with determination, proper guidance, continuous training, and a strong support system, our learners can reach remarkable heights.

Hunyo pa lamang, sumabak nasa pagsasanay ang mga manlalaro ng paaralan pagkatapos ng klase upang itaas ang antas ng kanilang laro.

Bukod dito, aktibo rin silang sumasali sa mga pribadong paligsahan para masiguro ang kanilang 100% kahandaan.

Baon ang disiplina at inspirasyon mula sa mga kapwa atletang nagwagi sa nakaraang taong palarong pandistrito, determinado ngayon ang koponan na magbunga ng tagumpay ang kanilang mga pinaghirapan at makamit ang inaasam na ginto sa Palarong Pambansa.

Ang mga naturang isport na kinabibilangan ng mga atleta ay sa archery, badminton, basketball, chess, gymnastics, swimming at paragames.

𝙎𝙋𝙀𝘿 𝘾𝙅𝙨, 𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙝𝙖𝙝𝙖𝙣𝙙𝙖 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝘿𝙎𝙋𝘾

Puspusan ang pagsasanay ng mga campus journalist (CJ) bilang bahagi ng kanilang masusing paghahanda para sa darating na Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) 2026 na gaganapin sa Setyembre 11–12, 2026.

Layunin ng pagsasanay na palakasin ang kasanayan ng mga CJ sa iba’t ibang kategorya ng journalism tulad ng pagsusulat, pagguhit at pagkuha ng larawan at maitaguyod ang malikhaing pagpapahayag at kritikal na pag-iisip sa pamamagitan ng responsable at etikal na pamamahayag.

Ang DSPC ay taunang paligsahan ng mga mahuhusay na cj mula sa iba’t ibang paaralan sa dibisyon ng Baguio.

The Kindergarten parents have demonstrated a commendable initiative by funding a project to install protective screens on the classroom windows. This project aims to prevent mosquitoes and other insects from entering the learning environment, thereby promoting the health, safety, and well-being of the learners.

Young children are particularly vulnerable to mosquito bites and insect-related illnesses, which may cause discomfort, allergies, or the transmission of diseases. By installing window screens, the classroom can maintain proper ventilation while effectively keeping pests out. This simple yet practical improvement will help create a cleaner, safer, and more conducive learning space for all Kindergarten pupils.

The installation of window screens will provide long-term benefits by minimizing distractions caused by insects, preventing mosquito infestations, and promoting a more comfortable atmosphere where learners can focus on their lessons and activities. This initiative serves as an excellent example of partnership and shared responsibility between parents and the school in safeguarding the welfare of young children.

𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞 𝟒 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐚𝐟𝐞𝐭𝐲

Ensuring that every corner of the school is safe for learners has always been a priority, and this goal was made possible through the remarkable collaboration of Grade 4 parents. Recognizing area of the Grade 4 building that posed potential danger to learners, the parents took the initiative to provide materials and labor to make this part into secure space. Through their initiative, sturdy steel railings were installed to secure the area, ensuring that learners can move in and out of the building without fear of accidents.

Thanks to the generosity and teamwork of the Grade 4 parents, hazardous areas have now been reinforced and improved, creating a safer environment for all learners. Your contribution stands as a shining example of how parents and schools can work hand in hand to protect our learners for potential risks.

𝑷𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒅

After several days of power outage caused by continuous strong rains and winds, the school’s electricity has finally been restored. The in-house transformer failure had left the school isolated without power, affecting classes and operations.

During the outage, the school relied on its generator to sustain essential services. This was made possible through the foresight of the School Parents Teachers Association (SPTA) last school year, who took the initiative to repair and maintain the generator. Their efforts ensured that the school had a dependable backup power source, allowing activities to continue despite the prolonged interruption.

The school also extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Benguet Electric Cooperative (BENECO) for their assistance, support, and fast actions in restoring power.

With the combined efforts of the SPTA and BENECO, the school has proven its resilience, showing that through collaboration, even the toughest storms cannot hinder the light of education.

Rain or Shine, Station 5 Secures Our School

Despite the pounding rains, the personnel of Baguio City Police Office – Station 5 continued their rounds within the school premises, ensuring that safety remained uncompromised. Their visible presence reassured that no untoward incidents may happen even in the midst of inclement weather.

This steadfast commitment highlights the police officers’ role not only as guardians of peace but also as partners in education, providing a secure atmosphere where learners can thrive. Their vigilance, even under harsh weather conditions, reflects a deep sense of duty and service to the community.

The school extends its gratitude to Baguio Police Office Police Station 5 for their unwavering dedication, proving that rain or shine, safety always comes first.
