Holy Ghost Extension Elementary School commenced its Academic Recovery and Accessible Learning (ARAL) Summer Program for Reading and Mathematics on May 6 through a parentsโ€™ orientation conducted at 9:00 AM.

The event gathered parents of selected learners along with three (3) volunteer teachers, officially opening the schoolโ€™s participation in the nationwide ARAL program.

Participants for the summer intervention were identified through assessment tools such as the Comprehensive Rapid Literacy Assessment (CRLA) for Key Stage 1, the Philippine Informal Reading Inventory (PHIL-IRI) for Key Stage 2, and the Rapid Mathematics Assessment (RMA).

Around 18 learners are set to join the summer sessions, which started today, May 6, 2026.

During the orientation, the school head, Decky M. Beloken, highlighted that the initiative focuses on delivering responsive academic support to learners who require additional assistance in reading and mathematics.

Through this initiative, Holy Ghost Extension Elementary School strengthens its dedication to closing learning gaps and promoting inclusive educational opportunities for all learners.

Theme: Filipino Graduates: Prepared to Lead with Competence and Character

The Graduation Program was a meaningful and inspiring event that celebrated not only the studentsโ€™ academic achievements but also their growth in character. One of the highlights of the ceremony was the presence of Atty. Brenda A. Dulnuan-Poklay, inspirational speaker, who captivated the audience with timeless stories such as The Honest Woodcutter, The Lion and the Mouse, and The Ant and the Grasshopper. Through these stories, she emphasized important values like honesty, kindness, humility, hard work, and responsibility.

Atty. Dulnuan-Poklay connected these lessons to the learnersโ€™ journey, encouraging them to carry these values as they move forward to the next stage of their education.

Holy Ghost Extension ES sustains vertical and rooftop vegetable garden for Feeding Program๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿซ

Holy Ghost Extension Elementary School successfully implemented an innovative school gardening initiative featuring potted pechay plants hung along the school walls and lettuce grown on the rooftop.
The project was made possible through the dedication of Mr. Dante T. Cottong, Administrative Aide, who personally planted, maintained, and nurtured the vegetables within the school premises. Through maximizing limited space, the initiative demonstrated creativity, sustainability, and resourcefulness.
The harvested vegetables were utilized in the schoolโ€™s feeding program, providing fresh and nutritious meals for the learners. This initiative not only supported the nutritional needs of the pupils but also promoted environmental awareness and food sustainability within the school community.
School officials and personnel expressed admiration for the project, citing it as an amazing example of teamwork and commitment to learner welfare.
Holy Ghost Extension Elementary School remains committed to strengthening health, nutrition, and environmental programs through sustainable and community-driven initiatives. ๐Ÿฅฌ
