DAHBES Holds Parent KAAGAPAY Information Drive
Dona Aurora H. Bueno Elementary School (DAHBES) conducted the Parent KAAGAPAY Information Drive this afternoon to strengthen the partnership between home and school while supporting student development. The activity highlighted the importance of collaboration among parents, teachers, and the wider school community in nurturing learners.
The program opened with the singing of the Nationalistic Song through an audio-visual presentation, followed by an opening prayer led by Non-Adviser Edmund T. Ocyo. School Head Florida F. Cael delivered the welcome remarks, formally setting the tone for the assembly and emphasizing the school’s commitment to values formation and learner support.
The main discussion was presented by Peter O. Wasing, National PTA Chairman for the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). He explained the role of the KAAGAPAY Task Force as a mechanism to promote values formation, provide learning assistance, and prevent bullying in schools. His presentation highlighted DepEd Memorandum No. 002, s. 2026, which implements the KAAGAPAY Program, reinforcing earlier DepEd Orders on parent-teacher collaboration and school governance.
Following the presentation, parents and educators engaged in an open forum to clarify issues on program implementation, task force operations, and school safety policies. The dialogue allowed participants to share feedback and propose strategies to strengthen home-based support for learners, ensuring that the KAAGAPAY initiative is responsive to community needs.
The program concluded with closing remarks from SPTA President Marilyn A. Aquino, who expressed gratitude to the speakers, school staff, and parents for their active participation. The activity was smoothly moderated by Hazel C. Paran, who served as the Master of Ceremonies throughout the event.

San Vicente MPC Donates Welding Machine to DAHBES
- Aiding 496 Students and Staffs

Doña Aurora H. Bueno Elementary School (DAHBES) received a much-needed equipment upgrade on July 23, 2026, after the San Vicente Multipurpose Cooperative turned over a brand-new welding machine to support the school’s maintenance needs.

The machine will benefit 471 learners and 25 teaching and non-teaching personnel through improved and safer school facilities.

The donation came at a crucial time. According to Edmund T. Ocyo, the school’s old welding machine had already stopped working, causing delays in minor repairs around campus. With the new equipment, the school’s personnel can now immediately address repairs such as broken gates, chairs, railings, and other facilities.

“We are very grateful because this is very timely. Our old welding machine was no longer working. Now we have a reliable tool that our personnel can use to keep our classrooms and surroundings safe and in good condition for our learners,” said Ocyo.
