1st Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill – March 12, 2026

Personnel from the City Mayor’s Office – Special Services Division actively participated in the 1st Quarter National Simultaneous Earthquake Drill held today, March 12, 2026.

The activity aimed to strengthen earthquake preparedness and ensure that all personnel are familiar with proper safety procedures during seismic events. Participants practiced the standard “Duck, Cover, and Hold” protocol and evacuation procedures as part of the nationwide initiative to promote disaster readiness.

The City Mayor’s Office continues to support programs that enhance safety awareness and preparedness among employees and the community.

OLMCM Work Immersion Completion

​Baguio City – The City Mayor’s Office - Special Services Division (SSD) officially recognized seven Grade 12 HUMSS (Humanities and Social Sciences) learners from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Montessori, Inc. (OLMCM) for the successful completion of their work immersion program.

​The awarding ceremonies, held on February 6 and 13, 2026, celebrated the students' transition from the classroom to a professional government environment.

​Key Highlights of the Immersion
​Duration: 40 hours of intensive hands-on training.
​Placements: Students were stationed at the Front Desk and the Archiving Section.

​Key Responsibilities: Assisting with client requests, document archiving, and the creative layout of certificates and tarpaulins for various Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs).
​Commendations from Leadership

​The certificates were presented by Mr. Briccio Cesar B. Domondon Jr. and Mr. Adam Bert A. Lacay, Community Affairs Officer III.

​The SSD leadership lauded the immersionists for their high level of professionalism, specifically describing the group as:

🌟 Third Quarter Pasadang Pambarangay 🌟

Constituents from 25 barangays under the Lucban District Health Center benefitted from various medical, dental, legal, and social services during the Pasadang Pambarangay held on September 19, 2025 (Friday) at the Sto. Niño Slaughterhouse Covered Court.

The activity was spearheaded by the Special Services Division of the City Mayor’s Office, led by Executive Assistant Benjamin Macadangdang and Community Affairs Officer III Briccio Cesar Domondon.

Nutrition & Sanitation

These services were made possible through the support of partner offices and agencies including the Health Services Office, PhilHealth, National Commission on Senior Citizens, City Social Welfare and Development Office, Civil Registry, Kalinga sa Senior Citizen, and others.

Palarong Pambarangay 2025 – “The Opening Day”

Noong ika-13 ng Setyembre 2025, sama-samang ipinagdiwang ng Lungsod ng Baguio ang opisyal na pagbubukas ng Palarong Pambarangay 2025, isang makulay at masiglang okasyon na naglalayong buhayin ang diwa ng palakasan, pagkakaisa, at pagkakabuklod sa 128 barangay ng lungsod. Ang araw na ito ay naging hudyat hindi lamang ng pagsisimula ng mga paligsahan sa basketball at volleyball, kundi pati na rin ng isang makabuluhang pagpupulong sa pagitan ng mga lider ng barangay at ng pamahalaang lungsod.

Magandang Samahan: Kolaborasyon ng Liga ng mga Barangay (LIGA) at City Mayor’s Office – Special Services Division (CMO-SSD)
Kasabay ng pagbubukas ng palaro ay isinagawa ang “Magandang Samahan: Kolaborasyon at Pagpapalitan ng Kaalaman sa pagitan ng Liga ng mga Barangay (LIGA) at City Mayor’s Office – Special Services Division (CMO-SSD)”. Layunin nito na higit pang pagtibayin ang ugnayan at kooperasyon ng dalawang tanggapan para sa ikauunlad ng mga barangay.

Binigyan ng mainit na pagtanggap ang mga dumalong kinatawan, sinundan ng pagpapakilala at pagbabahagi ng kani-kanilang mga layunin at kasalukuyang programa. Kapwa kinilala ng dalawang panig ang kahalagahan ng matatag na ugnayan, bukas na komunikasyon, at kolektibong aksyon. Bilang bunga ng kolaborasyon, nabuo ang ilang konkretong hakbang para sa patuloy na kooperasyon—kabilang na ang regular na pagpapalitan ng impormasyon, pagbabahagi ng best practices, at pagtutok sa mga pangunahing pangangailangan ng bawat barangay.

Sa Pagbubukas ng Palaro, masayang selebrasyon ng Palarong Pambarangay 2025 ay ipinamalas ng bawat barangay ang kanilang pagkakaisa at sigasig sa pamamagitan ng makukulay na delegasyon at masiglang parada. Ang pagbubukas ng palaro ay pinangunahan nina Engr. Leandro Tabilog, kinatawan ng butihing Punong Lungsod ng Baguio, at Councilor Joel Molintas, na kapwa nagbigay ng inspirasyonal na mensahe para sa mga kalahok.

Namayani rin ang presensya at suporta ng Liga ng mga Barangay – Baguio Chapter, sa pangunguna ni Punong Barangay Rocky Aliping, na naging pangunahing tagapagtaguyod at gabay ng programa mula simula hanggang katapusan.

Lubos ang pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga naging bahagi ng matagumpay na kaganapang ito—sa mga manlalaro, coaches, muses, committee members, volunteers, at buong komunidad. Ang kanilang dedikasyon at oras ay nagsilbing pundasyon ng tagumpay ng programa.

Isang espesyal na pasasalamat rin ang ipinapaabot sa mga masisiglang Emcees, sina PB Levy Orcales at PB May Gonzales, na naging susi sa maayos at masayang daloy ng buong programa.

Maituturing na lubos na matagumpay ang parehong aktibidad—ang Kolaborasyon at ang pagbubukas ng palaro. Ito ay patunay ng kahalagahan ng pakikipagtulungan at pagkakaisa, tungo sa mas progresibo, inklusibo, at masiglang pamayanan.

The event was attended by the 128 barangays, (represented by the committee on Gender and Devlopment in each barangay) with 39 males and 89 females.

Ms. Marlene B. De Castro, officer and director for young adults, discussed about the Basic Terms and Concepts of Gender and Development while Ms. Miel Madrid, officer for young adults discussed Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, Expression and s*x characteristics(SOGIESC) and Mr. Briccio Domondon community Affairs Officer of Special Services Division, discussed the Gender and Development (GAD) Mandates.
